Guojiao 1573 is a liquor brand owned by Luzhou Laojiao Co., Ltd. and is also China’s standard liquor. The National Wine Cellar 1573 was built in 1573 AD.
Guojiao 1573 is one of the series of wines of Luzhou Laojiao Co., Ltd., which originated from the "Bao Guojiao Pond" during the Wanli Period of the Ming Dynasty (i.e. 1573 AD). Using the distilled liquor brewing process, the liquor is colorless and transparent, elegant, sweet and refreshing, soft and harmonious, with a long clean and fragrant tail and a typical style.
In November 1996, the State Council officially announced Luzhou Laojiao’s exquisite cellars, which are more than 400 years old, as a national key cultural relics protection unit for protection. This cellar pool group was first built during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty and is still in use today. It has become the iconic standard of Chinese liquor culture and a living cultural relic witness to the development of (solid) distilled liquor brewing technology, so it is called the "National Cellar".
On September 9, 1999, 1,999 bottles of 1,999ml Guojiao 1573 special brew were released. Among them, No. 0003 and No. 0002 were collected by the private collections of Macau Chief Executive Ho Hau Wah and Hong Kong Chief Executive Tung Chee-hwa respectively. No. 0001 will be designated as the return of Taiwan Province. The first chief executive after mainland China.
