Individuals or enterprises can apply for patent fee reduction and exemption as long as they meet the conditions. The following are the conditions for individuals to apply for patent fee relief:

First, the individual application conditions:

(a) individuals working or studying in Guangdong Province, the average monthly income in the previous year was less than 3,500 yuan (42,000 yuan per year);

(2) The taxable income of enterprises registered in Guangdong Province in the previous year was less than 300,000;

(3) Institutions, social organizations and non-profit scientific research institutions registered in Guangdong Province.

Where two or more individuals or units are the same applicant or patentee, the above provisions shall be met respectively.

Second, the application materials (individuals):

1. Copy of ID card (if there is no ID card, please provide copies of other valid documents such as household registration book);

2. Original income certificate issued by the unit (if there is no fixed job, submit the certificate issued by the county-level civil affairs department or the township people's government (street office) where the household registration is located or where the habitual residence is located).
