At present, there are two kinds of refurbished laptops on the market, one is refurbished by notebook manufacturers and the other is refurbished by some underground workshops.
Let's take a look at the laptops refurbished by laptop manufacturers. At present, IBM brand is more common in the original refurbished notebook computers on the market. Because these laptops were put into the market after being renovated by the original IBM factory, the quality and appearance of the products are very close to brand-new laptops, and ordinary consumers can use them with confidence. However, this kind of original maintenance machine usually only has a one-year warranty service, and it is much cheaper than a brand-new notebook computer in price, so if consumers accidentally buy it back as a brand-new notebook computer, it is estimated that businesses will definitely steal it. In fact, for this original refurbished notebook, notebook manufacturers have long left a mark on the notebook in order to prevent the refurbished notebook from being confused with the brand-new notebook and disrupting the market. As long as you pay attention to the following places, it is easy to identify their true identity.
The most common way to renovate a notebook is to repaint the shell. Nowadays, the painting technology is getting higher and higher, but it is difficult to deal with the logo on the top of the notebook with the highest painting technology. No matter which method is used, it will leave traces here, which has become one of the most effective means to distinguish refurbished notebooks.
How to identify refurbished notebooks through the top cover? First of all, big brand notebooks such as IBM and Toshiba with no logo on the top cover are basically refurbished. Because the logo part is too difficult to deal with, many low-tech JS simply take off the logo and make a net profit. Usually JS will give an excuse for not having a trademark at the beginning. In fact, it is impossible for these big brands of notebooks not to stick logo on the top cover. The reason why the brand logo is gone is entirely the hands and feet of the merchants themselves. Generally, this phenomenon is common in notebooks with metal shells.
When you see this, you may ask, can't you post the logo after painting? In fact, re-posting the logo is far from as simple as you think. Because the strength of the merchant's own post-painting can't be compared with that of the original factory, even if the logo is stuck on the surface of the post-painting, there is no way to guarantee its firmness, and it may fall off when touched.
The logo of some notebooks may be pressed on, or it cannot be removed for other reasons. In this case, JS usually uses the covering method for painting. The specific method is to cover the logo with transparent glue and then apply it. After painting, remove the transparent adhesive. However, the cover method has a big disadvantage, because the cover can't just cover the LOGO, more or less, so there will always be some traces on the edge of the logo. In addition, because the combination of new and old paint layers is not so good, if you look closely, you will find that there are two layers of paint, even if it is polished before painting, it will leave some traces near the logo.
The goods that merchants get from wholesalers or agents are unopened, and they will put the original factory seal on the boxes, but they don't have to pursue unopened machines, because merchants often open the boxes for inspection after arrival, so the original factory seal will be destroyed, especially in some small shops with less goods. You can also book unopened original packaging machines from merchants, but not many merchants are willing to accept such reservations. The packaging of the main engine and power supply may be incomplete (because the machine needs to be inspected), but the packaging of those small accessories is not complete, because there is really no need to take them out and put them in plastic bags that can be seen at a glance.
A carefully observe the keyboard gap and screen border, and whether there is more dust in the air outlet. The second-hand machine fan can't turn, as long as the fan runs, it will bring in dust.
B. Check the keyboard keycap and mouse for signs of wear. If used for a period of time, it will inevitably leave shiny marks on the surface.
C take out the battery and check whether there are fingerprints on the back of the machine covered by the battery. Usually, the back shell of a notebook computer will be plated with metal, which will print fingerprints when touched, and it is difficult to erase.
D. check whether the operating system is still unpacked. If the original operating system is unpacked, it will automatically enter the registration screen when it is turned on, or you need to enter the registration code to operate normally, otherwise it will always be an unregistered OEM. Of course, some third-rate manufacturers can have a complete operating system when their machines are turned on, which reflects the low technical level of this manufacturer from one angle. Such a machine generally disdains to sell its parallel imports.
First, as mentioned above, as long as it is unopened, there will be much less trouble.
Second, choose a regular storefront. Generally, there will be authorized dealers in official website, which is more reliable.
Third, pay attention to the radiator, where dust is the easiest and it is not easy to wipe.
Four: pay attention to whether there are signs of wear on the foot pad. Various interfaces, especially the lock interface, will be locked there to prevent theft.
Five: Check the production date, the closer to the time when you bought it, the better.
