Malice Mizer (マリスミゼル?; marisu mizeru 1814), a Japanese rock band and a visual-based movement in some countries. They were active from August 1992 to December 2001. Formed by Mana and K?zi, the band's acronym for "Resentment/Malice and Suffering", extract their reply, "Nothing but one that is spiteful and suffering" - their answer to "What is man"? . Their early music and themes were characterized by their strong French and classical influences, later gradually moving away from deliberate French Romanticism and incorporating Gothic-Victorian aspects which the band suffered several times. Despite the prototype description, the Malice Mizer is best recognized as a thoroughly original entity.
Malice Mizer performs for famous music as their lives, showcasing historically lavish costumes and stage sets, short silent theater pieces preluding a variety of songs, whimsical dance routines, and even the most notable, such as this The singer descends to earth (first stage) as an angel falls, only the emperor sings again at the end. Throughout its history, the band has gone through several different lineups and three dramatic image changes.
On December 11, 2001, it was announced that Malice Mizer would remain on hiatus indefinitely.
Malice Mizer was formed in 1992 by mana and k?zi with tetsu on vocals, mana and k?zi on guitar/synthesis, Yu~Ki on bass, and Gaz on drums. From the beginning, the band developed their trademark "double guitar" sound, allowing two guitars to play different melodies to create polyphony. Malice Mizer's sound is a mix of tetsu-era rock, early 80s lotus, and strong classic influences. Their first official release was "The Speed ??of Desperate Song" on the compilation 1993's Brain Trash. Prior to this, they had released a demo tape called Sans Logique containing no vocalist. Shortly after the announcement of Brain Trash, Gaz left the band to join Kneuklid Romance, and Romance Kneuklid's drummer Kami in turn joined Brain Trash. In 1994, the band released their first album, Memoire, to Crowd on the newly formed independent record label Midi:Nette, which was re-released shortly after, it featured an extra bonus track, under the title "(Baroque) Baroque" , the Memoire DX. After only a few days, singer Tetsu left the band. Although the exact reasons are unknown, Tetsu also took a different direction in his work. The band continued to use his lyrics in songs, and they continued to perform with later vocalists recommending a peaceful split.
Gackt era (1995–1999)
In 1995, after a year of training , Malice Mizer recruited Gackt as his new singer. A new concept created by mana, the band's music became more aggressive and complex incorporating stronger classical, electronic and use of instruments like the accordion to commemorate French popular music of the 19th century. Visually, the band abandons 1980 09:39 for colorful costumes, and history always has a gothic feel. In 1996, MM released its second album, Yuanhang's sans "original". The band became increasingly popular and signed to Columbia Records in 1997, where they released several successful singles, the short film (Bel Air ~Kuuhaku no Shunkan no Naka De~ de L'Image), and in 1998 , their third album, Mervier Valley. The band even had its own radio show by this time. In January 1999, following the success of High Altitude MM, Ga left the band and began a solo career a year later. MM left Colombia and returned to midi: nette.
A few months after Ga's departure, drummer Kami died of a subarachnoid hemorrhage on June 21, 1999, leaving behind a handful of songs that the band finally released part of the license/video boxset new and.
Kami was never replaced; from this point on, MM would only use the backing drummer (i.e. Shu, who did not appear in the band's post-final music video, nor was it counted) and Kami would be credited as "Eternal Blood" for all future releases .
The klaha era (2000-2001)
MM period during the klaha era (from left to right: Yu~Ki, Mana, Klaha and K?zi). In late 1999 and early 2000, MM - still without an official singer - released a few singles and began work on a new album. Eventually, they recruit Klaha (real name Masaki Haruna), singer from the band Darkwave's Proud Mind. By then, the band drops a relaxed pop sound from the Gackt era, a dramatic mixture of classical, goth/and heavy metal at 09:39, and goes through to an exhaustive funeral look at 09:39. In the summer of 2000, they released their last album, No Barra Niger, followed by a very exciting literary and live show featuring pyrotechnics, choir nuns' veils and a shrinking cathedral as stage props. In 2001, MM starred in a feature-length vampire film (Bara no Konrei ~Mayonaka ni Kawashita Yakusoku~) and released three singles: "Gardenia", "Beast of Blood", and "Garnet ~Kindan no Sono E~", "Gardenia" and "Garnet" had a rather lighter tone than previous albums, marking the beginning of a new era for the band. Unfortunately, these few singles were all what the world would see as yet another rebirth of Malice, as the band members decided to go their own separate ways, disbanding in 2001, leaving messages on their official website, The Mirror, which can still be viewed today. . Schism is colloquial as "(hiatus) hanging", so future reforms are not ruled out.
Moi dix Mois is the solo project of Mana, the leader and guitarist of the formerly prominent Japanese band Vision Kei. The current alliance is as follows:
Mana - Guitar
Juka - Vocals (left April 24)
Kazuno - bass
Tohru - drums
K - guitar, side vocals< /p>
Moi dix Mois's sound bears some resemblance to that of his latest work: galloping organ and harpsichord, electric guitar, operatic male (and female) vocals and fast, heavy drumming mix together to create complex, new and a very energetic sound somewhere between neoclassical and goth metal. Keeping up with the concept of a solo project, Mana's lyrics for Moi Dix Mois are more personal (and darker) than those he wrote for Mizer, changes direction between melancholic romanticism and profound depression and despair.
History
In , , about three months after the termination, Mana announced his formative solo project, Moi Dix Mois. In addition to playing guitar, Mana is composed by Moi Dix Mois, writes lyrics, arranges, leads, designs stage costumes and acts as overall artistic director. In contrast to Mana's previous bands, Moi Dix Mois was conceived explicitly as Mana's solo project; while project members had input during the performance and recording of the music, Mana essentially determined the artistic direction of the band on their own. All Moi dix Mois' music is released through Mana's own music label, Midi:Nette.
Almost nothing is known about the other "project members" before they joined Moi dix Mois, except that Tohru used to be a drummer with JILS and K was a guitarist with Shanda Zero (known as Takeru name).
The name has special meaning to Mana. Moi dix Mois is "I am ten months" in French. The name symbolizes the month of Mana in the womb and his birthday, as the band was created on his birthday.
Moi dix Mois played their first concerts outside Japan in March 2005 (Germany) and (France) as part of their seminal "Invitation to the Evil Tour". After the tour's final engagement on April 24, singer Juka left the band, but Mana announced that Moi Dix Mois would continue its activities.
