Bare wire (actually enameled wire) should be zero line, corresponding to the bare wire at the plug end.

The other three color lines, two corresponding to the left and right channels, one of which should be directly connected to a line, indicating "on".

It is not difficult to disassemble the wire-controlled switch and see the connection mode.
