Identification of the authenticity of Moutai liquor
One of the best identification methods
The best way to identify the authenticity of Moutai liquor: tasting.
However, this method has great limitations in the practice of identifying authenticity and is not discussed in this article.
The method introduced in this article only visually identifies the appearance of the packaging, avoiding destructive identification. This identification method also has certain limitations and cannot be 100% guaranteed to be accurate. However, this method is the most intuitive, simple and practical, and is the first choice for the majority of Moutai lovers and collectors.
2 Before visual identification
Before visual identification, you can add an identification step: sniffing.
Pick up the wine bottle, put the joint between the bottle cap and the bottle mouth close to the tip of your nose, and smell it carefully. If there is a smell of strong aroma, light aroma, or other aroma, it must be fake. Moutai has a special sauce aroma. If you have a keen sense of smell, you can smell the residue of the sauce aroma at the mouth of the bottle or even on packaging materials such as cartons and cartons.
By the way, slight leakage at the mouth of the bottle does not mean it is fake wine. Authentic wine may also leak, but the probability of leakage is very small.
Three visual identification contents and methods (all taking the recent Feitian Pumao as an example)
1 Carton
(1) Front of the carton
The box on the left side of the picture above was when the national liquor Moutai Haikou self-operated store opened on June 12, 2012. As the first customer, I purchased this box of Feitian Pu Mao. The one facing the reader is the front; the box on the right side Put it, facing the reader is the upper surface
There are three circular icons on the upper left side of the front of the carton, from left to right: organic certification (green), China organic product mark (green), Moutai Feitian LOGO (red).
The position above the word "Mao" below the LOGO is a 10-digit barcode. This barcode is unique, that is, the barcode on this carton is different from that on all other cartons. The barcode on the carton is only consistent with the barcode on the back label of the wine bottle in the box. If it is a 6-bottle package, then there are only 7 barcodes in the world, including 1 on the carton and 1 on each bottle of wine; the same Reason, if it comes in 12 bottles, then there are only 13 in the world. If it violates the above description, it must be fake wine.
There will also be a black 9-digit code on the front of the carton, which is the dealer code, representing different dealers in different places. This 9-digit code is printed on the carton after it is packed. The font may be large or small, and the printing position is not fixed. Sometimes the code will be printed a little bit on the white packaging tape, which is normal.
(2) The upper surface of the carton
The sealing tape on the upper surface of the carton is a special tape. As shown in the picture above, the tape has the Moutai LOGO and the company name in Chinese and English. There is also a line of black characters on the carton, indicating the production date and batch of this box of Moutai. This date and batch are consistent with the spray code information on the little red hat on the wine bottle in the box, otherwise it is fake wine.
Note that the production date and batch were only marked in the second half of 2011. In the past, only the production date was marked, and before 2004, there was no marking.
(3) Carton packaging tapes
There are two packaging tapes on the carton. Sometimes there is only one. It may be that the dealer opened the box and put his own anti-counterfeiting label on each bottle of wine and then put only one back. There is a secret mark of "MOUTAI" on the packaging tape. If there is no such secret mark on the packaging tape, it may be that the original packaging tape was lost by the dealer and then repackaged with ordinary packaging tape, or it may be fake wine, and the possibility of fake wine is high.
(4) The side of the carton
The larger barcode printed on the side of the carton.
(5) Inside the carton
The factory date of this box is December 21, 2012, Doomsday Commemorative Edition, haha
The carton contains 1 Packing list, upper and lower paper partitions, 1 anti-counterfeiting identifier (instructions included), 3 handbags (6 handbags for 12 bottles), 6 (12) bottles of wine.
The information on the packing list should be consistent with the information on the carton and bottle, otherwise it is fake wine.
In addition, there is a certain relationship between the batch number, packer number, and inspector number on the packing list. These three numbers on the same packing list will be By calling the company's anti-counterfeiting department, you can quickly identify whether there is a problem with the box of wine.
2 Carton
The four sides of the carton as well as the upper and lower surfaces
The design style of the carton is the same as the main label and back label of the wine bottle. The main colors are "red, black, white and gold".
The front of the carton. The upper part has a golden background. On the left side is a single flying lady descending from the sky, holding a wine glass in her hand. On the right side is the handwriting "Kweichow Moutai" written by Mr. Hua San on a black set of white wheat. In the lower left corner of the upper part is the red square seal of "1704". The lower part is "KWEICHOW MOUTAI" in black characters on a white background, which is the English translation of "Kweichow Moutai".
Turn the paper box 90 degrees clockwise to the side. The surface is divided into three sections. The upper section has the words "KWEICHOW MOUTAI" on a red background in white; the middle section has three logos, followed by a circular organic certification icon (in the previous packaging, there were organic certification words in Chinese and English under the circular icon, as well as the certification number. Now some packages no longer have these words and certification numbers, leaving only the circular icon), the circular Chinese organic product icon, and the oval icon of the People's Republic of China and the National Geographical Indication Protected Product (Kweichow Moutai) icon.
Continue to rotate 90 degrees to the back of the paper box. There is an irregular vertical oval red seal of "Kweichow Moutai" in seal script, and a barcode at the bottom.
Continue to turn 90 degrees to the side. This is a front view of a Moutai bottle. Note that the Moutai in this picture does not have streamers and little red riding hoods. If the picture has streamers and little red riding hoods, it must be fake wine. In addition, there is a secret mark on the bottle cap of the wine bottle in the picture.
On top of the carton. Above is a circular Maotai LOGO with a strong three-dimensional effect. Slowly tilted at different angles, you can see that the Chishui River seems to be flowing, and the white clouds are also drifting, gathering, and dissipating. Be careful, there are secrets hidden in the white clouds.
The bottom of the carton. The four tongue depressors are in the shape of swirls and arcs, giving them a strong sense of beauty. It would be questionable if the bottom structure were not like this.
Inside the paper box. On the white background, Mr. Mai Huasan's golden handwriting "Kweichow Moutai" is scattered throughout. Note that they are present on the inner side and upper inner surface, but not on the bottom surface; nor are they on the lower ends of the four inner sides.
The carton contains an "Introduction to Anti-Counterfeiting Methods", two small wine glasses and a bottle of wine in a small carton. There are specific requirements for the printing characteristics of the "Introduction" that is made into the opening page, the modeling characteristics of the small wine glass, the appearance details of the small wine glass packaging carton, and the red ribbon binding of the small wine glass carton. But these are not the focus of this article. We can discuss these contents slowly in the comments and comment replies of this article.
3 wine bottles
Small wine glasses, little red riding hoods, streamers, front labels, back labels, anti-counterfeiting instructions, wine glass cartons and red ribbons
When this picture was taken Turn on the flash, and the little red riding hood changes
(1) The little red riding hood at the mouth of the bottle
Start by following the steps in "Introduction to Anti-Counterfeiting Methods". Without using the recognizer first, the brightness and darkness of the image and text on Little Red Riding Hood will change in front light and backlight. The front light is strong and the backlight is weak.
Use the recognizer and look at the side. The color of the original picture collection disappears, but at the same time a rainbow-like background and the golden words "National Liquor Moutai" and "MOUTAI" appear. Observe the top, the color changes from red to gold, gently turn the bottle, you will find 1 or 2 small black dots moving on the top. Brother Capital reminds me that if there are no black spots or there are 3 or more black spots, it is very doubtful, and the black spots are not very regular dots.
Same as the picture above, but the flash was not turned on when shooting
There is a coding area about 180 degrees from the front image and text of Little Red Riding Hood, that is, in the same direction as the back label. This area is right across the Little Red Riding Hood glue line.
The left part of the inkjet area is the word "Maotai".
The right part is divided into three lines. The first line is an 8-digit (early 6-digit) factory date code, such as "20100519"; the second line is an 8-digit (early 6-digit) batch code, of which the fifth digit is a small dash. bar "-", such as "2011-059"; the third line is a 5-digit (early 4-digit) serial code, such as "14194". The position of this 5-digit code is different from the previous two lines. Its first number is Starting from the 2nd position and ending with the 6th position.
The three rows of data are unique. If there are two bottles of wine with the same data in the three rows, at least one of them is fake.
The inkjet code is composed of many small black dots, with bright colors, uniform and full dot structure, and no diffusion (divergence).
Sometimes there will be other labels on the Little Red Riding Hood, but these labels are not shipped from the factory, but are affixed by each dealer themselves, which is equivalent to adding a layer of identification and anti-counterfeiting by the dealers themselves, mainly Protecting dealers themselves can also establish their own integrity and enhance their recognition.
Under normal circumstances, if you gently twist the Little Red Riding Hood with your hands, it cannot be twisted. If it can be slightly twisted to a very small angle, it is also acceptable. If it can be twisted to a larger angle and it feels obviously loose, that is very questionable.
(2) Streamers
Under normal circumstances, the two streamers should be facing the word "Mao" on the main mark in a natural vertical state, and the bottom of the streamers should not exceed " The lower part of the word "Mao". Probably at the lower hook of the word "Mao", if it is too short or too long, it is very questionable.
Under normal circumstances, the two ends of the streamer should almost overlap. If one of the streamers is long and the other is short, and the distance between the two ends is more than 5 mm, it is suspicious.
The text on the streamers is white. Generally, two strips are "China Kweichow Moutai", or one is "China Kweichow Moutai" and the other is "Chinese Famous Wine and World Famous Wine".
The number on the streamer is secretly written on the lower one. If it is on the upper one, it is very doubtful.
The method of tying the ribbon is to tie it at the back of the bottom end, then go from the back of the bottle cap over the top of the bottle cap and then down the side of the bottle cap to the front. If it weren't for this kind of tying, it would be very doubtful.
Note that the streamers have a flat bottom, not a dovetail bottom.
(3) Main mark
The main mark is printed on imported 100g stencil paper, with specifications of 90 mm long and 125 mm high.
The key to identifying the original logo is the flying icon in the upper left corner. The key points for identifying the Feitian icon are as follows:
The four words "Registered Trademark" in the lower part of the icon are in traditional Chinese; the pearls on the left fairy's head are different in size and quantity from those on the right fairy; the armbands of the left fairy are also different. There is one on each side, and the right fairy is two on the left and one on the right; pay attention to the details of the wine glasses held by the two fairies.
Carefully check the color registration of Feitian icon printing. If the color registration overlaps or is misaligned, it is suspicious. However, in fact, the color registration on some genuine Moutai Feitian icons is not ideal. Therefore, the color registration can only be used as a general suspect, and it cannot be judged as a fake wine just based on uneven color registration.
The details of other parts of the text are not the focus of the text and are omitted. For example, the thickness and spacing of the 12 black lines from the lower left corner to the upper right corner, the Chinese and English fonts of "Produced by Kweichow Moutai Co., Ltd." in the lower right corner, etc.
By the way, Moutai Distillery has not entered into a joint venture with any other distillery, nor has it granted any trademark license to any manufacturer, nor has it established a first branch, a second branch, or a branch. factory. Any "Maotai liquor" marked as an associated factory, the first factory, the second factory or a branch factory must be fake.
(4) Back label
There is a long ear of wheat on the left and right sides of the back label. The number and level of the wheat ears have specific regulations.
The upper part of the back label is a 10-digit barcode. This barcode is consistent with the barcode on the carton where the bottle of wine is located (see the previous introduction to the carton). If it is inconsistent, it is a fake wine. This 10-digit barcode can be uncovered. After uncovering, there is a 16-digit code inside, with each group of 4 digits, max. 4 groups. It is laid out in a "field" shape. Whether this 16-digit code is for logistics has nothing to do with consumers.
Starting from July 2012, a 17-digit organic code has been added below the back label barcode, as shown in the third bottle in the picture above. Consumers can enter the organic code in the service column of the China Organic Products Certification Corporation on the official website of the National Certification and Accreditation Administration to query product information. Note that the organic code from July to September is not printed on the back label but a small green label is affixed to the top of the outer box. It is only printed on the back label starting from October.
The center area of ??the back label is an introduction to Moutai, which is divided into two parts. The larger upper part has black characters on a white background with a red frame, and the smaller lower part has black characters on a red background with a white frame.
The bottom part of the back label is the year mark, with 4 white Arabic numerals on a red background. Those manufactured before 2005 do not have a year mark on the back label, the year mark is on the main label, and those produced after 2005 are all on the back label. 2005 is a transitional year. The first few months are on the front label, and the later months are on the back label.
(5) Bottom of the bottle
The picture I took is not clear, so I found a clear one from the Internet
The bottom of the bottle has a round outer ring foot.
Going inside is the English word "PRODUCE OF KWEICHOW MOUTAI CO., LTD." in capital letters in a circle. Between the English circle and the foot of the bottle, there are two logos. One is the bottle manufacturer code, and the last one is the bottle manufacturer code. The four common ones are "HB", "MB", "CKK" and "□". For example, HB is the abbreviation of Jinghong Glass Factory (why the abbreviation of Jinghong Glass Factory is not JB but HB, I won't explain, you will understand); 1. There are two Arabic numerals at the top, which represent the wine bottle production line.
On the bottom of most Moutai bottles, the line connecting letters (i.e. bottle manufacturer code) and numbers (i.e. production line code) is not a diameter passing through the center of the circle, but has a slight off angle. Generally speaking, the letters (or boxes) are between "I" and "C" at "MOUTAI CO,.", and the numbers are between "E" and "O" at "PRODUCE OF", as shown in the picture above.
There are also those that are basically on the same diameter, which is relatively rare. For example, in the picture above, on the bottle with the organic code on the back, the letters "CKK" on the bottom of the bottle are at the PR of "PRODUCE", and the number "16" is at the OW of "KWEICHOW", which is very close to a diameter.
In principle, the letters on the bottom of each bottle of Moutai in the same box are the same. For example, they are either "MB" or "□", and rarely there are two. If there are more than two situations, it can be preliminarily judged as fake wine.
Further inside, there is another circle; further inside, there are two bunches of wheat ears wrapped in a circle; further inside, there is a gear with a sunken five-pointed star inside.
(6) Wine bottle material
Pumao wine bottles are now milky white glass bottles, please note, not porcelain bottles. The material of the glass bottle should be uniform and free of impurities, and there should be no metal-like materials.
Four essential tools for identifying Moutai liquor
Since identifying Moutai liquor at home does not require very professional tools and equipment, Brother Capital has selected a few essential but very easy-to-obtain tools. Tools for your reference.
Identifier, local 10x magnifying glass, handheld 3x magnifying glass, student ruler set
1 Identifier. As a gift from the manufacturer, each box of Moutai must be equipped with an identifier. If the consumer only buys one or two bottles, the merchant may not give it away. In this case, it is recommended that the consumer beg for help, and if necessary, decisively sacrifice the color to the salesperson in order to successfully get the identifier. . The identifier is mainly used to identify Little Red Riding Hood.
2 Partial 10x magnifying glass. This was given by Brother Capital when he purchased a certain brand of jewelry, and it came in handy. Mainly used to identify printing details on cartons, wine bottle front labels, wine bottle back labels, etc.
3 Hold a 3x magnifying glass. The most common magnifying glass is used to identify the embossed text pattern on the bottom of the bottle.
4 Students set rulers. Contains scales, protractors and other items. The scale has an accuracy of 1 mm and the protractor has an accuracy of 1 degree. It is mainly used to measure the size of wine labels, the angle of certain printing details, etc.
