The history of Hayes ancient tea originated from the ancient tea on the Maritime Silk Road and the earliest tea exported from China. More than 2,000 years ago, Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty pacified South Vietnam and established Hepu County, with Hepu ancient port on the Beibu Gulf as the starting port, which opened the economic and trade exchanges between China and the West on the Maritime Silk Road. Guhebao County includes Beihai, Qinzhou, Fangchenggang and other areas along the Beibu Gulf. Silk, ceramics, pearls and tea are exported from Hepu ancient port to foreign countries in exchange for ivory, spices and colored glass. This is the so-called Maritime Silk Road. Liuhu ancient tea, produced in Daliangshan, Liuhu, Beihai, is adjacent to the port of origin, transported to the port of origin through Liu Hu-Nanliujiang waterway and Daliangshan ancient road, and exported overseas with the ship.
Later, after more than 2,000 years of vicissitudes, Guangzhou Port flourished in the Song Dynasty, Quanzhou Port flourished in the Ming Dynasty, and Hepu Ancient Port, which flourished in the Han Dynasty, gradually lost its historical position as the starting port of the Maritime Silk Road, and Liuhu Ancient Tea became a little-known "local tea".
On April 20 17, he inspected Beihai and made an important instruction to "write a new chapter of the Maritime Silk Road in the new century", and then held the "Belt and Road" World Summit Forum. The history of Beihai as an important port of origin of the Maritime Silk Road has been re-recognized.
