Elephant Trunk Rock
In April in the south of the Yangtze River, flowers are blooming.
Thirteen kilometers to the west from Linhai, a national historical and cultural city, there is an ancient town in the south of the Yangtze River - Kuocang Town. Its territory is the so-called "16,000 feet high and three hundred miles around" Kuocang Mountain.
The main peak of Kuocang Mountain is Misielang, with an altitude of 1382.6 meters. It is the highest peak in eastern Zhejiang and is known as the "Supporter of Mount Tai". It is also the place where the first ray of dawn shines on the motherland in the 21st century. Kuocang Mountain is also known as Zhenyin Mountain and Tianbi Mountain. "Taizhou Prefecture Chronicle" once quoted the "Preface to the Five Mountains" as saying: "When you climb up, you can see the sea, and its color is green and blue, so it is named Kuocang."
The unique geographical location and altitude give Kuocang Mountain the characteristics of high mountain, long water, wild wind and abundant resources. It's dizzying and makes you forget to leave.
Jiutai Range Rover
Jiutai Valley is the soul of Kuocang Mountain Scenic Area.
Drive from Kuocang Town to Huangshitan Village and climb up the steps to reach Jiutai Valley. It starts from Huangshitan and ends at Paomaping with an altitude of more than 1,200 meters. It is 5 kilometers long and has a vertical drop of more than 1,000 meters. It has deep ravines and steep slopes, standing cliffs, rugged rocks, stone beams and waterfalls. It is so beautiful. According to the general shape of the ravine, people divide it into nine stages, namely Longzhu, Lanxiu, Yibi, Yaoji, Guanpu, Zhegui, Chengyu, Moongazing and Stargazing.
Longzhu Terrace is the first terrace located at Mizoguchi, also known as Boulder Beach. Legend has it that a long time ago, there was a black dragon living in the Black Dragon Pool deep in the mountains, which caused harm to the village. A Taoist master who was cultivating in Daorenliao Village beheaded a black dragon, and its head fell at the entrance of the village. The villagers built a temple to suppress it; the dragon's body turned into a ridge and lay across the back of the village. The dragon ball fell at the entrance of the ravine and broke into a pile of round stones that we see now.
Legends are always beautiful, and what is more beautiful than legends is the mountain scenery. The mountains are full of flowers and trees, and the scenery is profound. Among the rocks in the stream, there are two very strange-shaped stones, like two turtles, one is waiting eagerly, and the other is about to enter the water. It is called "Two Turtles Playing", which is lifelike.
But Longzhu Terrace is just a small scene, far from the real scenery of Jiutai Valley. Go up to the second stage - the show stage and look around, the scenery is unique. There are gurgling streams at your feet, layers of terraced fields, scattered flowers, and lots of greenery. On the five surrounding peaks, red, yellow, white, and blue wild flowers bloom in full bloom. The peaks are like five charming dancers in colorful clothes. Living in the city for a long time, I always feel a lot of pressure in the reinforced concrete forest. The beautiful scenery in front of me makes me forget everything and myself, and I don't know where I am. In the meantime, the good people used nine layers of stacked stones to form a girl in ancient costumes. She has a tall figure, a plump face, and graceful bun. She is holding a gold ingot in her hand, as if she is blessing the tourists on the mountain. She calls her euphemistically: " A jade girl offers a treasure."
Next, "Little Tiger Saves His Mother", "Couple's Rock", "Fairy's Bed"... there are many scenic spots that are dizzying to see. These scenic spots are all named because of their scenery and are completely natural. The most eye-catching thing is the waterfall viewing platform. The waterfall group is more than 200 meters long, including phoenix tail, jade belt, throwing beads, Xie Yin, Lianli, short pillars, and Tianmen. The seven-section waterfall goes from top to bottom, sometimes disappearing and appearing, sometimes disconnecting, sometimes throwing beads and broken jade, and sometimes clanging. The clang is like thunder; sometimes it is patter, like talking. The harmonies of birds and animals are interspersed among them, either rough or delicate, vigorous or beautiful, like a natural symphony.
After turning around the waterfalls, there are rugged rocks on the hillside, and a stone gate suddenly opens up. The stone beams are flying, and the sky is like the moon. It is surrounded by dangerous cliffs, strange peaks and deep valleys, just like the deep palace of Guanghan where Chang'e lived. . Next to the cave, squatting on a stone, it looks like a jade rabbit, holding its head high and looking ahead, as if guarding the moon palace...
Some people say that Jiutai Valley has the dangers of Huashan Mountain, the beauty of Huangshan Mountain, and the tranquility of Jiuzhaigou Valley. The show of Zhangjiajie. In fact, as you climb from bottom to top, the mountain ranges from yellow soil to black soil, and the vegetation ranges from broad-leaved forest to coniferous and broad-leaved mixed forest, to coniferous forest, carex, etc. On both sides, there are peaks and cliffs with different expressions, and exotic flowers. Grass. Walking at the bottom of the ditch is like walking in a gallery with moving sounds. How can I describe it all with my poor pen? If you want to appreciate the beautiful scenery here, it’s best to go there in person!
But Dashan never argues. Whether it is the chant of the wise or the worship of the mediocre, the mountain remains silent as always, carrying what it should carry and nurturing what it should nurture, peace and tranquility.
At this moment, I thought of generosity, broadness, and eternity.
This is the mountain in front of you, the Jiutai Valley, which is full of green mountains and dotted with all kinds of exotic flowers and plants!
Viewing the clouds on the top of the mountain
After walking through Jiutai Valley, we came to the top of Kuocang Mountain.
You will be at the top of the mountain, and you will have a panoramic view of the mountains. Looking around, the field of vision is wide, and the mountain peaks seem to be hidden and visible among the clouds and mist. Dawn and dusk, morning and sunset, are like a dream. After the fog, the mountains are lying down and the clouds are floating, which is magical and unpredictable.
The vertical drop of Kuocang Mountain is more than 1,000 meters, with abundant sunshine, abundant rainfall, and rich and diverse vegetation. The scenery is very different throughout the year: in spring, the mountain flowers are blooming and especially enchanting; in summer, the mountain wind and water vapor soak the muscles and nourish the lungs; in autumn, the mountains are full of fruits and dogwood trees are planted everywhere; in winter, the rime is diffuse and the ice hangs from the branches. Especially around May, the azaleas on the mountain are in full bloom, colorful and spectacular. There are also various rare animals such as yellow muntjac, black muntjac, clouded leopard, golden pheasant, and salamander in the mountains, and their traces are strange and mysterious.
If you are not yet exhausted and want to visit the ruins of the ancients and reflect on the beauty of the past, then you have come to the right place. Taoists who worship famous mountains have long regarded Kuocang Mountain as a fairy mountain. In the Zhou Dynasty, Li Tuo and Li Wanwan, the true king of Ziyang, once visited Kuocang; in the Han Dynasty, the Tai Chi Master Xu Laiqin made Kuocang Mountain his lifelong practice and achieved Taoism; during the Three Kingdoms period, Zuo Ci, Ge Xuan and later Zheng Siyuan, Both Ping Zhongjie and Tao Hongjing came here to visit immortals, leaving behind many relics, such as Jianchayan, Paomaping, and Kuocang Cave, one of the top ten Taoist caves...
There is also one Scene: On the top of the mountain, there are 33 huge windmills 45 meters high. It is these windmills that make the top of Kuocang Mountain the fourth largest wind farm in the country. Whenever the sun rises in the east and sets in the west, the windmill rotates, reflecting the blush of the sky, and makes you drift into a fairyland on earth.
At 6:42:54 on January 1, 2001, the first ray of dawn in the 21st century in mainland China fell on the swaying windmills of the rice sifting waves. Cultural landscapes such as the 21st Century Dawn Monument and the Chinese Century Altar are integrated with the natural mountain scenery and have become unique features on the top of the mountain.
