In January 2011, the 100-kilometer road section from Yingjing County to the top of Niubei Mountain was renovated. In October 2010, we applied to register the brands "Bison Mountain" and "Niubei Mountain" in the name of Yingjing County State-owned Company. The preliminary work has been completed, and the National Trademark Office is making public announcements. In 2012 Registration will be completed after the announcement.
On July 1, 2015, the Yingjing County Government of Ya'an City, Sichuan Province and the Luding County Government of Garze Prefecture, Sichuan Province jointly issued a letter to officially close Niubei Mountain for development. During the mountain closure period, outsiders and vehicles are prohibited from passing through. However, the mountain closure only applies to the main mountain, not to viewing platforms such as Niejiagou in Niangniang Mountain, which are adjacent to the main mountain.
