Tsingtao Beer is a Chinese brand.

The predecessor of Tsingtao Beer is the Germanic beer company Tsingtao Co., Ltd. founded in Qingdao in August 1903 by a German businessman and a British businessman. It is a beer manufacturer with a long history in China.

In 1903, German businessmen from the Hong Kong Anglo-Germanic Beer Company and British businessmen jointly established the Germanic Beer Company Qingdao Co., Ltd. in Qingdao to produce light beer and dark beer. In 1916, the "Dainippon Ale Co., Ltd." in Tokyo, Japan bought the German beer company Qingdao Co., Ltd. at a high price and changed its name to "Dainippon Ale Co., Ltd. Qingdao Factory".

After Japan surrendered in 1945, the Qingdao Municipal Government took over the Qingdao Factory of Dainippon Ale Co., Ltd. On June 2, 1949, Qingdao was liberated and the Qingdao Brewery was renamed "State-owned Qingdao Brewery".
