Nanniwan has been built into a multi-functional economic and cultural center, focusing on revolutionary memorial sites and integrating sightseeing, tourism and comprehensive economic development.

Mao Zedong inspected Nanniwan's former residence, the former site of the 359 Brigade, the 718 Regiment Martyrs Monument, the former site of the Central Administration's cadre retreat, the former site of Nanniwan Reclamation Government, the former site of the Eighth Route Army Artillery School, the former site of Jiulongquan and Nanniwan's large-scale production exhibition room.

The former site of Nanniwan Revolution is located 4km south of Yan 'an. Nanniwan is the south gate of Yan 'an. In the mass production movement, the 359th Brigade of the Eighth Route Army settled here, which is a banner of self-reliance. In the autumn of 1943, Mao Zedong inspected Nanniwan. Mao Zedong's former residence during his inspection, Jiulongquan, peach treasure Valley, and the exhibition hall of large-scale production movement are open for visit here.
