What is the process of applying for Jordan trademark?
An application for a trademark must be submitted to the Trademark Registration Office, and the Registrar will make a substantive examination of the trademark application to see whether it is registrable and whether it is the same as or deceptively similar to the registered trademark of others on the same commodity. When examining whether a trademark is significant, the registrar or the court may consider whether the degree of use makes the trademark significant on the designated goods when the trademark is actually used.

Different applicants apply for registration of the same or very similar trademarks on the same or similar goods at the same time, and the registration bureau will refuse to accept any application for registration. The ownership of trademark rights will be resolved in the following two ways: 1. Agreement between applicants to determine their ownership, subject to the approval of the Registrar; 2. If both parties fail to reach an agreement, the Registrar shall apply to the High Court for a ruling. After the trademark is approved, it will be announced in the official announcement. Within 3 months from the announcement period, anyone can raise an objection to the trademark and give the reasons for his objection. Any party may appeal to the court within 20 days after the Registrar makes an objection ruling.
