How to review French trademark registration?

NTI (National Institute of Industrial Property) is responsible for trademark registration by the French government. The submitted trademark registration application will first undergo a formal review, that is, whether the application documents are complete, whether the trademark image is clear, and whether the category of goods or services is accurate.

For trademark applications that pass formal examination, the examiner only examines whether the trademark has distinctive features and whether it contains a name or mark that cannot be used as a trademark, without searching for conflicts of prior rights. If the trademark is not prohibited from registration, the trademark will be announced.
