Motor vehicles whose permanent residents enter the country duty-free according to the regulations belong to motor vehicles under customs supervision, and the competent customs shall implement a six-year follow-up supervision on them from the date of customs release.

To lift the supervision period, it shall apply to the competent customs for lifting the supervision on the basis of the Application Form for Deregulation of Vehicles by People's Republic of China (PRC) Customs, my identity certificate, long-term residence certificate, supervision vehicle registration certificate and motor vehicle driving license. After the approval of the competent customs, the "Certificate of Deregulation of Vehicles under the Supervision of People's Republic of China (PRC) Customs" will be issued, and the resident personnel will go through the relevant formalities with the public security traffic management department accordingly.
