In April, the CSBA held its first national streetball carnival at Shanghai Guangming Middle School. More than 1,200 people participated in the game.

In August, CSBA held its second national streetball gathering at Shanghai Xiangming Middle School. This time, more than ten streetball stars from other places were invited to attend on their own. On January 1, 2005, CSBA® (CSBA®) was officially named in English: China Street Ball Association, abbreviated in English as: CSBA®, and registered at the same time CSBA®.
