RT Mart is a large supermarket chain in Taiwan Province, China, founded by Yin Yanliang, president of Runtai Group. RT Mart established Shanghai RT Mart Co., Ltd. on 1997 and began to explore the mainland market.

At first, RT Mart imitated Wankelong in the Mainland and operated in a warehousing mode. In July, 1998, the first store in Chinese mainland, RT Mart opened in Zhabei District, Shanghai, which is located in the industrial zone, and the Wankelong wholesale warehouse has a strong shadow.

The road to listing

The preliminary plan for the merger and listing of RT Mart China Company and Auchan China Company has been finalized and will be listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange soon. This news was also confirmed by Hong, special assistant to the president of Runtai Group in Taiwan Province Province and general manager of the development department of China District, RT Mart.

RT Mart China is a reinvestment company of Runtai Group. According to insiders, the final plan for the merger and listing of Auchan China and RT Mart China will be finalized in June. The company has hired Citibank and HSBC to provide pre-listing consultation.
