Later, due to successive wars and Hao Shengqian’s lawsuit, the garden fell into disrepair for a long time and gradually became depressed. During the Republic of China, it had become a wilderness. At the beginning of the liberation, flower farmers in Hongmiao Village planted peonies and peonies here, and gradually formed a prescription. The garden was officially built in 1958 and was named "Hongmiao Garden". In 1982, the government again allocated funds for reconstruction and named it Baiyuan Garden. In 1990, the government allocated funds again to expand the Baiyuan Garden designed by Nanjing Landscape Design Institute.
