What is a word mark?
The so-called word trademark refers to a trademark composed purely of words (Chinese characters, Chinese pinyin, ethnic minority characters and foreign characters or letters) and numbers. Usually it refers to a trademark that is composed of only words, letters, numbers and their combinations according to the six elements of trademark combination stipulated in Article 8 of the Trademark Law.

A graphic trademark is just a pattern and has no clear meaning. Therefore, it is difficult for the relevant public to remember the pattern of a graphic trademark, and it is even more difficult for the relevant public to remember the pattern of a graphic trademark. On this basis, the connection between the trademark pattern and the product or service it identifies is established.

Because they have clear meanings, word marks are easy to communicate.
2. More friendly feeling
Word trademarks are purely composed of words, and words often have a certain meaning. The meaning expressed is very concise and easy to address, so it can make the relevant public feel friendly. feeling.
3. Easier to identify and distinguish
When the Trademark Office reviews a registered trademark application and determines whether there is a similar trademark, it mainly examines whether the trademark words are similar to the words in other trademarks. Word trademarks have clear meanings and outstanding distinctiveness, which can effectively prevent similar trademarks from being approved for registration by the Trademark Office; while graphic trademarks are mainly composed of patterns, which are less distinctive than words, have no specific meaning, and are not easy to distinguish.
After successfully registering a word trademark, the applicant will have exclusive rights to the trademark and can exclusively use it in commercial activities.
