Honey carrots

Honey carrots

1. Peel the carrots and cut into coin-like thin slices.

2. Put the cut carrots into the pot.

3. Add butter, maple syrup, 125ml of water, a little salt and black pepper, and bring to a boil over high heat.

4. Stir once after boiling, then turn to low heat so that the water bubbles gently, cover the pot and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes. No need to stir during this period.

5. Boiled carrots can be easily pierced with a fork, and it doesn’t matter if they encounter a little resistance.

6. Open the lid of the pot, turn up the heat slightly, and continue cooking for a while.

7. Turn off the heat until the soup turns into a thick honey juice that can coat the carrots (you can also add salt or black pepper to taste at this time).

8. Sprinkle an appropriate amount of chopped parsley, stir evenly, and serve on a plate.
