What is Tencel? What are the advantages of Tencel fabric?

What is Tencel?

Tencel is not what we traditionally call "Tiancel". Tencel is the domestic name. Its scientific name is "Lyocell fiber" and it is a pure natural cellulose fiber.

Lyocell is the name of a new type of regenerated fiber and is an internationally accepted name. Lyocell is a large category, similar to cotton, silk and other categories.

TENCEL is a registered trademark of Austrian Lenzing Company, and is registered as "TENCEL" in China. Tencel is one of the most well-known brands of Lyocell, which means that Tencel is Lyocell, but Lyocell is not necessarily Tencel.

The technology of Tencel

Tencel is a brand-new fiber produced by solvent spinning method using coniferous tree pulp as raw material. It can be decomposed in the soil to generate fertilizer, which can be spun into a new type of fiber. There is no waste water discharge in the silk process, which is truly environmentally friendly. It is also known as "green fiber in the 21st century".

Tencel has the "comfort" of cotton, the strength of polyester, the luxurious beauty of wool fabric and the unique touch and soft drape of silk.

Four major advantages of Tencel

① Silky and soft

Tencel is softer than real silk, and the smooth fiber surface can be as smooth as silk. To the touch, it brings you the slightest sense of coolness in summer.

② Natural antibacterial

Tencel's excellent breathability can absorb human sweat in time and release it back into the atmosphere, creating a dry environment, thereby inhibiting the growth of bacteria and mites.

③ Comfortable and dry

Tencel has excellent water absorption and can effectively regulate the absorption and release of moisture. If your skin is sensitive, you will often encounter some rough fabrics for close-fitting covers. If it is uncomfortable, Tencel fabric will be a suitable choice for you.

④ Good insulation

Tencel's superior natural moisture content, coupled with its excellent moisture conduction properties, prevents the accumulation of electrostatic charges, helping to provide better sleep quality.
