Brand story:
1. Kintaro Hattori was a watchmaker who was an apprentice. He followed the trend of the Reform and firmly grasped the trend of the times. In Japan, he absorbed a large amount of the benefits of Western science and technology, introduced watchmaking technology, and realized his ideals, creating his watch kingdom and earning him the reputation of "The King of Oriental Timepieces."
2. In May 1892, the far-sighted Kintaro Hattori bought a closed factory and founded Seikosha. He hired watchmaking technician Yoshikawa Tsuruhiko as the chief technician and started imitation research and development. Starting from a relatively simple wall clock, in July of the same year, we successfully launched an American-style wall clock for sale.
4. When Seikosha was founded, there were only 15 employees in the factory, and the machines used were driven by manpower, so a lot of manpower was spent on grinding parts. Soon after, in order to improve production efficiency, he moved the factory to Yanagishima New Factory, installed a five-horsepower steam machine to expand production, and the clocks produced by Seikosha also began to be exported to China.
5. In 1895, Seikosha successfully launched the Japanese-made TIME KEEPER pocket watch. Its performance began to grow rapidly, and Seikosha established a solid position in the watch industry. By 1903, when Kintaro was 43 years old, he was honored as the "King of Japanese Timepieces" by the Japanese press.
