Jining Yutang Sauce Garden Co., Ltd. (formerly known as Yutang Sauce Garden) was founded in 1714 and has a history of 300 years. It is the only "Chinese time-honored brand" enterprise in southwestern Shandong.
Yutang's products have unique local characteristics and are very popular in the market. They are famous for their excellent selection of materials, meticulous workmanship, and both northern and southern flavors. As early as 1910, Yutang's soy sauce, assorted radish, and fine winter vegetables won medals of excellence at the "Nanyang Industry Encouragement Meeting" held in Nanjing; in 1914, at the "First Article Exhibition of Shandong Province," Yutang 42 kinds of products participated in the exhibition, and 35 kinds won awards (including 16 kinds of wine, 16 kinds of pickles and special winter vegetables, Yuannian soy sauce all won the gold medal award for the best, and the yellow tender sweet sauce won the silver medal award for the best); in 1915, Yutang products won the first prize in Panama Won a gold medal at the Pacific Exposition. According to the record on page 172 of "Records of China's Participation in the Panama Pacific Expo": Jining Yutang pickles, soy sauce, Wanguo Chun wine, Jinbo wine, banquet guest wine, and ice snow dew wine won six gold medals and citations.
In recent years, the Yutang trademark has been rated as a "Famous Trademark of Shandong Province" by the Shandong Provincial Administration for Industry and Commerce and consumers. Yutang pickles have been rated as Shandong famous brand products by the Shandong Provincial Economic and Trade Commission. Yutang soy sauce, vinegar, and bean The finished products and sauce series products were rated as "National Quality Standard Food" by the National Food Association, and awarded the honorary certificate of "China's Backbone Food Enterprise". Yutang Sauce Garden was certified as a "Chinese Time-honored Brand" enterprise by the former Ministry of Domestic Trade. At the same time, it was elected as a governing unit of the China Seasoning Association. The Yutang brand is one of the four famous brands in the pickle seasoning industry in the country. It has unique economic and cultural value and is a valuable intangible asset in Jining's economic development. Yutang products have been to Beijing many times and tasted by party and state leaders. In 1957, Commander-in-Chief Zhu De once praised Yutang pickles as "very good" and "has four characteristics: fresh, tender, sweet and crispy". Later, some party and state leaders and celebrities in the literary and art circles, such as Xiao Hua, Gu Mu, Yuan Baohua, Liu Lantao, Kuang Yaming, Kong Demao, Hou Baolin, Qiao Yuzeng, Zhao Yan, etc. and some international friends also visited Yutang to taste it. He also wrote an inscription as a souvenir. In short, Yutang Sauce Garden has long been famous at home and abroad.
