The full name is ethylene acrylate rubber, ethylene polymer with methyl acrylate content of 8% ~ 40%, milky white translucent solid.
The melt flow rate is 2 ~ 6g/ 10 min, and the Vicat softening temperature is 59℃. Good environmental stress cracking resistance, excellent electrical properties, extrusion bonding temperature is 3 16 ~ 322℃.
It is made of ethylene and methyl acrylate as main raw materials, oxygen or peroxide as initiator, and is polymerized by high pressure heating.
Can be blown into film and used as disposable gloves, medicines and food packaging; Extrusion hoses and profiles; Blow-molded toys; Automobile engine cylinder gasket; Foamed foam board, etc.
Extended data
ACM monomers can be divided into three types: main monomer, low-temperature oil-resistant monomer and vulcanization point monomer.
Main monomer:
Main monomers, commonly used main monomers are methyl acrylate, ethyl acrylate, butyl acrylate and 2- ethylhexyl acrylate; With the increase of carbon number of pendant ester groups, the cold resistance increases, but the oil resistance becomes worse. In order to maintain good oil resistance of ACM and improve its low temperature performance, some low temperature oil-resistant monomers with polar groups were synthesized.
Low temperature oil-resistant monomer:
Low-temperature oil-resistant monomer, traditionally, alkoxy ether acrylate is used to participate in * * * polymerization, and the cold-resistant temperature of ACM obtained is below -30℃; Later, in industrial production, methoxyethyl acrylate was selected as monomer to produce cold-resistant ACM, which further reduced the use temperature.
In recent years, foreign patents reported that polyethylene glycol methoxyacrylate and dimethoxyethyl maleate were better as low-temperature oil-resistant monomers. In addition, DuPont adopts solution polymerization of ethylene and methyl acrylate to introduce ethylene into the polymer backbone, which can obviously improve the low temperature flexibility of the product.
Vulcanization point monomer:
Vulcanization point monomer, in order to facilitate the vulcanization treatment of ACM, a certain amount of vulcanization point monomer must be added to participate in the polymerization. Generally, the content of curing point monomer is less than 5%, and the curing point monomer can be divided into chlorine-containing type, epoxy type, carboxyl type and double bond type according to the reaction active point. Among them, chlorine-containing vinyl chloroacetate is the main industrial application at present;
Epoxy glycidyl methacrylate, allyl glycidyl ester, 3- methyl -2- butene ester with double bond, maleic acid monoester or itaconic acid monoester and carboxylic acid are also reported in patents using acetyl allyl acetate.
