Nippon paint has a history of more than a century. Since 120, it has been a pioneer of coating products and enjoys a good reputation all over the world.

1963 Mr. Wu of Singapore (Chairman of Singapore Wu Denan Group) established the first overseas factory in Singapore, and the first Nippon paint factory in Singapore was put into production on 1965. Then, Nippon paint factories and retail stores mushroomed all over Southeast Asia. In 1973, all business activities in Southeast Asia are grouped into instant groups. NIPSEA is the abbreviation of Nippon Paint Southeast Asia.

At present, Nippon paint manufacturing plants have spread all over more than a dozen countries and regions in Asia, Europe and America, with more than 20 factories and more than 5,000 employees. And on the basis of existing undertakings, promote technical exchanges and strengthen international cooperation. In recent years, the ranking statistics of global paint manufacturers show that Nippon paint production and sales rank first in the Asia-Pacific region and among the best in the world. In the overall structure, each factory belongs to the unified management of the group headquarters, and the group allows each factory to operate independently, from warehousing, transportation to employees. This unique independent management system not only enables member institutions to flexibly adapt to changes in the market, but also can establish corresponding customer networks more effectively.

By the end of 2000, the annual output of coatings in the factories directly under the Group exceeded 2 million tons. In just a few years after entering China, the Group has established three wholly-owned enterprises in Shanghai, Guangdong and Beijing, and two joint ventures in Chongqing and Suzhou. Nippon Paint (China) Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned enterprise invested by Singapore Lee Group and Japanese paint company in Shanghai. The company is headquartered in Wang Qiao Development Zone, Pudong New Area, covering an area of 35,737 square meters, with a total investment of more than 24 million US dollars. (Registered capital190,000 USD, and additional investment of 5 million USD for Phase III plant)
