Project Hope is a public welfare undertaking launched in 1989 by the Communist Youth League Central Committee and the China Youth Development Foundation with the purpose of helping out-of-school children in poverty-stricken areas.
The purpose is to build Hope Primary Schools, help out-of-school children in poor areas return to school, and improve rural school-running conditions. Aid has changed the fate of a large number of out-of-school children, improved school conditions in poverty-stricken areas, aroused the whole society's awareness of attaching importance to education, and promoted the development of basic education; it has carried forward the fine tradition of alleviating the poor and helping others, and promoted The construction of socialist spiritual civilization.
The main purposes of Project Hope:
1. Donate to the "Star of Hope Award Fund"
The "Star of Hope" is selected from among the recipients of Project Hope across the country. Selected students with excellent academic performance. Approximately 500 candidates are selected each year. The "Star of Hope Award Fund" provides scholarships to help them continue their studies in middle school and college, so that these outstanding students can grow up smoothly.
2. Donate to the Hope Project National Teacher Training Fund
Hope primary school teachers shoulder the important task of promoting the development of basic education in backward areas. To improve the quality of primary school education, we must rely on a group of high-quality teachers. The Hope Project National Teacher Training Fund was established to comprehensively improve the overall quality of Hope Primary School teachers.
3. Donate to build Hope Online School
Donate and build Hope Online School for Hope Primary School, so that rural schools and urban schools can share excellent and rich educational and teaching resources, and promote the development of information technology in rural schools Technical education to improve the education and teaching level of rural schools.
The implementation of the "Hope Project" is not only a useful supplement to the development of education in impoverished mountainous areas, but also a way to help out-of-school children return to school. According to statistics, Guizhou Province has assisted and built 328 Hope Primary Schools through the implementation of the "Hope Project", helping 90,000 out-of-school children return to school, which has played a positive role in supporting education in impoverished mountainous areas.
Facing the reality of China’s large population base and weak financial strength, it is not enough to rely solely on the government’s efforts. Education in poor areas urgently needs support and help from all aspects of society.

Article 7 Fund Raising
(1) For Project Hope Fund-raising activities carried out by student financial aid must follow the principles of legality and voluntariness.
(2) The donation standards for Project Hope student funding will be determined by the China Youth Development Foundation and announced to the public, and the licensees of the Project Hope service trademark will follow these standards. For donors with relatively large donations and long-term willingness to donate, a special fund named after the donor can be established. The funding methods and standards of the special student aid fund may be determined separately in accordance with these rules.
(3) To accept donations, you must complete the donation procedures and issue a "Uniform Invoice for Public Welfare Donations" supervised and printed by the financial department. Donors can apply for tax exemption with this note.
(4) Donors who raise funds for Project Hope students through charity sales, charity performances, etc. must be authorized by the China Youth Development Foundation or the licensee of the Project Hope service trademark.
