The lift limiter of the suction valve is close to the inside of the cylinder, and the valve seat of the exhaust valve is close to the inside of the cylinder. Ring valve is named because its valve plate is a thin ring. There are annular or hole-shaped channels on the valve seat and lift limiter for gas to pass through. The valve plate is connected to the sealing port on the valve seat to form a seal. There is a guide boss on the lift limiter, which plays a guiding role in the lifting of the valve plate.

The air valve is an important part in the reciprocating piston compressor, and it is also one of the easily damaged parts. Its quality directly affects the displacement, power consumption and operation reliability of the compressor. At the stage of high-speed compressor development, one of the key problems to limit the speed increase is the air valve.
Piston compressor generally adopts "automatic valve", that is, the opening and closing of the air valve is realized by the pressure difference between the two sides of the valve plate, and there is no other driving mechanism.
The valve is mainly composed of valve seat 1, valve plate 2, spring 3, lift limiter 4 and bolts and nuts that combine them into a whole. The structure of the exhaust valve is basically the same as that of the suction valve, except that the positions of the valve seat and the lift limiter are interchanged.
