It is red jade.
Akadama has been confused and merged with agate during historical changes and actual circulation. After liberation, archeology developed vigorously, and red and yellow jade ritual vessels appeared in many Warring States tombs excavated. However, the world did not recognize them, so they were named "Warring States Red Agate".
Fortunately, with the development of archeology and the prosperity of the collecting world, people have gradually realized the unique beauty of red jade from the Warring States Period.
But at the same time, in the early days, it appeared in the Warring States Red Market under the name of "Mongolian Material". Now Xuanhua Egg Agate, which calls itself "Shanggu Warring States Red", relies on some expressions that are "similar to Warring States Red" to Commercial activities such as advertising and trademark activities, regardless of history and documentary evidence, are confused in the market with dozens of times the price difference, claiming to be Warring States Red.
Extended information:
Dr. Louvre of the American Museum of Natural History considered the "fire jade" or "red jade" here in "Oriental Turquoise Research" in 1913 (according to " "Book of the Later Han Dynasty" records) "Today's black flint is called fire jade, which is probably named after the volcano. Black flint is also a volcanic stone. "Du Yang Zabian" calls it a flammable tripod. Today's black flint is easily melted by heat and becomes porous. "Black and gray mist" probably means this."
The two American Orientalists misunderstood "fire jade" because they did not understand the context of ancient Chinese descriptions of the red color of fire jade.
Some scholars also believe that red jade refers to ruby. This author’s research and judgment do not think it is credible.
Ancient books record red jade flutes
"Taiping Yulan" quoted from "Liangzhou Ji" records: In July 346, Zhang Jun, king of the Qianliang Kingdom in the northwest, died and was buried in Wuwei. Daling was stolen more than 50 years later, shocking the whole world. King Houliang ordered the arrest of the thieves. After the leader Huan Xu was brought to justice, a batch of rare treasures were found.
Among them, there are several kinds of tomb objects such as pearl curtain foil, mica screen, glazed cypress, white jade bottle, three-sheng shou, red jade flute, purple jade bamboo pole, coral whip, agate bell, and golden lei. Its whereabouts are unknown after a century, but it is still talked about today because of its legendary status as "the national treasure among national treasures". Apparently rubies are not enough to make a flute.
