Baigezhuang town characteristic industry
Baigezhuang Town insists on pig breeding as the primary industry of enriching the people and strengthening the town, and builds the first pig raising town in eastern Hebei. The town has established pig breeding association and broker association to provide technical services and information services for farmers, and actively planned and constructed the pig trading market, feed and veterinary drug wholesale market and rice bran market in Baigezhuang, eastern Hebei.
In 2004, the town actively operated again, registered the trademark of high-quality pig production index, and improved its popularity. Supporting farmers to develop pigs through preferential policies has effectively mobilized farmers' enthusiasm for raising pigs. There are 7346 households engaged in pig breeding in the town, accounting for 60% of the total households. There are 70 12 households in the courtyard, 334 households in the community and 44 farming communities, covering an area of 3,500 mu. In 2003, 350,000 pigs were sold to Beijing, Tianjin, Inner Mongolia and other places.
