Introduction to Madrid Trademark International Registration Renewal:
After the expiration of the Madrid Trademark International Registration , if you want to continue using it, you should apply for renewal. The Madrid Agreement and the Madrid Protocol stipulate that the validity period of an internationally registered trademark is 10 years. Six months before the expiry date, the International Bureau will informally notify the trademark registrant of the renewal, including the expiry date. If the registrant fails to apply for renewal before the expiration date, the International Bureau will grant a 6-month grace period. If no renewal application is made within the grace period, the International Bureau will cancel the international registration. If the application is made within the above period, the validity period of the international trademark registration can be renewed for 10 years. 02
