Sunshine No.1 citrus has large fruit, thin peel and easy peeling, and the peel and pulp are closely connected. It tastes crisp and tender, with a unique flavor and sweet and sour taste, while Ehime 58 is not easy to peel and has a relatively poor taste. Juice is not as good as Sunshine No.1, and the peel is thicker, so Sunshine No.1 pomelo is better.

Sunshine 1 Citrus Pomelo (original code "485-28") is an excellent single plant selected by Cao Li (associate researcher) of Citrus Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, with Ehime 28 as female parent and Chunxiang as male parent, among many hybrid offspring groups.
