In 1972, Baodao Optical Co., Ltd. was established in Taiwan by Wang Guosheng, the founder of Baodao Optical, and his brother Wang Jingzhong, which mainly produced optical lenses, spectacle lenses and other products.

On April 1, 1974, it was approved to register the "Baodao" trademark No. 68919 in Taiwan (approved commercial optical lenses and spectacle lenses).

In 1979, the brothers divided their labors. Wang Jingzhong was responsible for optical lenses and import and export trade, and Wang Guosheng was responsible for the retail sales of five stores. They officially created the professional chain operation model of Baodao glasses and gained a certain reputation in Taiwan.

In 1981, founders Wang Guosheng and Chen Guofu jointly established Baodao Eyewear Company (Note: In 1976, Baodao Watch founders Chen Guofu and his wife established the first "Baodao" in Sanchong City "Optical Shop".) As of now, Baodao Optical Company has 13 branches in Taiwan.
