Introduction of sweeping leaf architecture
Located in Qingliangshan Park, Gulou District, Nanjing, Sweeping Leaf House is the former residence of Gong Xian, a painter and poet in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties. Sweeping Leaf Building, a cultural relic protection unit in Jiangsu Province, was built in 1664, with brick and wood structure in Ming and Qing Dynasties and covered with small tiles, with two floors. The building area is about 400 square meters, covering an area of about 270 square meters. The building is surrounded by green trees, and the platform looks far away. Shanqing Temple is also in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, with a building area of 929.7 square meters and an area of 1430 square meters. 1979, when the Sweeping Leaf Building was rebuilt, the courtyard behind the building and the Shanqing Temple were integrated into a group of ancient buildings with complete structure and elegant scenery. Sweeping Leaf House is the residence of Gong Xian, the master of eight schools in Jinling in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties, and it is named after his self-written portrait of sweeping leaf monk. Gong Xian, word half a thousand, number half an acre, etc. After the Qing army captured Nanjing, Gong Xian left in grief and indignation, wandering in Hai 'an and Yangzhou for more than ten years. In his later years, he returned to Nanjing, bought half an acre of Liangshan wasteland, built four rafters, planted flowers, trees and bamboo, lived a simple life, did not serve dignitaries, and made a living by selling calligraphy and painting. He is the author of a collection of poems, Caoxiang Tangji and Literati Essays. During the reign of Xianfeng in Qing Dynasty, the building was destroyed by fire and rebuilt in the 15th year of Guangxu (1889). The Sweeping Leaf Building was rebuilt twice in 190 1 and 19 14, and was destroyed in the Cultural Revolution. 1979. At the beginning of 2000, Gong Xian Memorial Hall was established on the basis of "Gong Xian's former residence". The lintel of the memorial hall has the name inscribed by Xu Bangda, a famous contemporary painter and calligrapher. There is an exhibition hall on the first floor, which mainly displays the poems of famous contemporary painters Lin Sanzhi, Xiao Xian, Chen Dayu, Fei Xinwo and Gong Xian. There is a showroom upstairs, which displays Gong Xian's exquisite paintings, calligraphy and poetry research results. The two exhibition halls behind the building hold occasional exhibitions of paintings and calligraphy by famous contemporary artists.
