Yongjing County is located in the southwest of central Gansu, in the north of Linxia Hui Autonomous Prefecture, bordering Lanzhou in the northeast, Liujiaxia Reservoir (now Lingbing Lake) in the south and Minhe County in Qinghai Province in the northwest. Geographical location: east longitude 102 53' to 103 39', north latitude 35 47' to 36 12'. It is 66 kilometers long from east to west and 52 kilometers wide from north to south. The Yellow River flows through the county 107 km, passing through the territory in a unique S-shape.
As of June, 20 19, Yongjing County had 17 townships, namely: Liujiaxia Town, Taiji Town, Yanguoxia Town, xihe town, Sanyuan Town, Xiu Yuan Town, Chen Jing Town, Wangtai Town, Hongquan Town, Chengchuan Town, Sandaoxian Township, Xuding Township and Xujing Township. The total area of the county is 1863.6 square kilometers, and there are two national geological parks (dinosaur footprint and Lingbing Danxia).
Yongjing county is a big county with tourism resources. The Three Gorges-level tourist attractions of the Yellow River have world cultural heritages-Bingling Temple Grottoes, Stone Forest, dinosaur footprints, Liujiaxia Hydropower Station, Sangaoxia Pinghu formed by the construction of Liuyan and Ba hydropower stations, the hometown of dinosaurs, painted pottery, Nuo dance, flowers, craftsmen and hydropower.

The development of history
Yongjing was called the land of western Qiang in ancient times. The Han Dynasty belongs to Wuyun County, and Jincheng County belongs to Jincheng County. During the Sixteen Kingdoms Period of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, it belonged to Jinxing and Jincheng counties in Hezhou. At the end of the Western Qin Dynasty, it was merged into Tuguhun. Wei belongs to Han Town and Hezhou. During the Northern Zhou Dynasty, it belonged to Han County.
Sui belongs to Hezhou and two counties and is the general manager of Lanzhou. During the Tang Dynasty, it belonged to Anxiang, Hezhou, and LAM Raymond County, Anxiang, and later to Tibet. It was still Tubo in the Five Dynasties. During the Northern Song Dynasty, it belonged to Xihe Road and Hezhou. In the early Southern Song Dynasty, it belonged to Jin, followed by Xiqin Road and Lintao House. Yuan and Ming belong to Anxiang, Hezhou Road and Lanzhou, Shaanxi. In Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Hezhou and Gaolan counties.
At the beginning of the Republic of China, it belonged to Daohe County and Gaolan County. In the 17th year of the Republic of China (1928), Daohe County was changed to Linxia County. In the 18th year of the Republic of China (1March 8th, 929), Linxia County and Gaolan County were separated, and Yongjing County was established in Lianhua Fort.
