National Line
The National Line for Postgraduate Entrance Examination is the basic requirement for preliminary examination results determined by the state, including the total score requirements for examination subjects and the score requirements for individual subjects.
The Ministry of Education divides the country’s 31 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions into two categories based on the economic development and education levels of different regions across the country, namely Region One and Region Two.
The Ministry of Education formulates and publishes the basic test score requirements for candidates taking the national unified examination and joint examination in accordance with the first and second regions to enter the re-examination. Candidates who apply for admissions units in District 1 and District 2 are Category A candidates and Category B candidates respectively.
Self-marking
Autonomous marking means that some admissions units approved by the Ministry of Education can independently determine the basic test score requirements and other academic requirements for candidates to enter the re-examination. Only 34 universities have the right to draw lines independently. The re-examination work of the 34 self-marking colleges and universities is carried out before other colleges and universities. Candidates who have not passed the re-examination line of one choice can be transferred to other colleges and universities in a timely manner, so that other admissions units and candidates can be more actively adjusted.
