2. Substantive review. This process is to examine whether the trademark you submit is registrable, that is, whether it is the same as or similar to a registered trademark. Whether the application submitted violates the provisions of the Trademark Law.
3. The applicant will be informed by written notice of the trademark that has not passed the substantive examination. And will indicate the reasons for refusal. The applicant may submit the examination opinions within the prescribed time limit. Failure to submit the examination opinions within the validity period shall be deemed as abandonment of registration. Previously submitted applicants and application numbers will not be retained.
4. All the processes are smooth, and it takes about 9- 12 months to successfully apply for a trademark. It should be noted that the validity period of the trademark is 10 year, and it can be renewed after the expiration of the validity period, and the validity period of each renewal is 10 year. The renewal application needs to be submitted six months in advance. If the application is submitted within the extension period, the extension fee will be paid separately.
