1. Yueli

This variety was bred by the horticulture team of Zhejiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences and is an early-maturing variety. Passed provincial approval in 2014.

The resistance to major diseases and insect pests of strawberry is equivalent to that of "Red Cheek". It is prone to heartbreak and is suitable for dense planting. The distance between plants is 12-15 cm. The early yield is high, with a plant yield of more than 250 grams and a full-season yield of about 1,500 kg per mu. Planting begins in early September in Hangzhou, and the fruit picking period begins in mid-to-late November.

2. Yuefeng

Bred by the horticulture team of Zhejiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences, it is an early to medium maturing variety. The female parent is "Hongyan" and the male parent is "Zhangji".

Characteristics: This variety has strong growth potential, tall plant shape and good yield. The fruit is conical in shape. The first-grade fruit weighs 45 grams. The appearance is bright red, shiny, and of high quality. The pulp is waxy, sweet and sour, and the flavor and hardness of the fruit are comparable to "Red". The soluble solids content is 12.1. Resistance to major strawberry diseases and insect pests is comparable to that of 'Red Cheeks'. When planting, the distance between plants is 22-25 cm, and the yield per mu is about 1800 kilograms. Planting begins in mid-September in Hangzhou, and fruit picking begins in mid-to-late December.

3. Xiaobai

"Xiaobai" is a mutant variety of "Hongyan", which was approved by Beijing in 2014.

Characteristics: The plant of this variety is extremely tall, with a plant height of 30 cm during the peak growth period and a spread of about 27 cm. The fruit is white or light pink in the early stage (December to March). After April, it turns pink as the temperature rises and the sun becomes sufficient. The flesh is pure white or light yellow. The fruit is long and conical in shape. The fruit is large and of high quality. , has a sweet taste and a soluble solids content of more than 14%. This variety has vigorous growth, good pollination and fruiting, good yield, and strong continuous fruiting in winter. It is better than "Hongyan" and "Zhangji" and other varieties. It has about 20% more yield than "Hongyan" and has strong resistance to powdery mildew. It is suitable as a Picking tour or gift box with variety development.

4. Yuejia

"Yuejia" is a new strawberry strain bred by the Provincial Academy of Agricultural Sciences Horticulture.

Characteristics: "Yuejia" has a moderate growth potential and a medium-sized plant. The fruit is conical in shape. The first-grade fruit weighs 38 grams. It is red in appearance, neat and beautiful, sweet and sour, and has a flavor inferior to "Hongyan". The terminal inflorescence usually has 3 flower branches and has high yield. It is slightly more resistant to major strawberry diseases and insect pests than "Red Cheek". Planting starts in early to mid-September in Hangzhou, and fruit picking starts in early to mid-December.
