The legend of Brady
Bugatti is an immortal name in the racing world. It is always admired by fans for its avant-garde design and extraordinary performance. Bugatti became famous as early as World War II, but it disappeared quietly for a long time with the end of World War II. It was not until 1990 that Bugatti EB 1 10 re-emerged and re-entered the ranks of super sports cars. EB 1 10 is the first car produced under the name of Bugatti in 40 years. 1993, the car factory developed EB 1 12 with classical flavor and advanced technology, and its performance was better than EB 1 10.

Bugatti is one of the cars with the largest number of classic old cars. Bugatti brand cars can be seen in many famous automobile museums around the world, with excellent performance, novel and smooth body shape and unique engine configuration.

Bugatti's logo consists of the initials "EB" of ettori Bugatti, the founder of Bugatti Automobile. A circle of dots around symbolizes ball bearings, and the background color is red.

Ettori Bugatti was born in Milan in 188 1. His father is a painter and a famous furniture designer. Ettori Bugatti not only has profound attainments in art, but also has a deep understanding of various mechanical design techniques, so he naturally combines technology and art, making people confused which works are works of art and which are technical works. This is the unique artistic style of Bugatti.

Ettori Bugatti studied in an art school since he was a child. He likes driving very much, and has participated in racing activities since he was 17 years old. 18 years old, he entered the prinetti Stookey (prinetti &; Stucchi, a company, studied the design and manufacture of three-wheeled cars and won the championship in this year's automobile competition.

1909, a factory was built in Morsheim, Alsace. While designing a small Peugeot Beibei car, a T 10 car with an in-line four-cylinder engine and a displacement of 1208ml was manufactured. 19 14 developed a T 17 car with a characteristic horseshoe-shaped heating grille and steel spoke wheels, with a speed of110 km/h.

During World War I, ettori Bugatti designed and manufactured an in-line eight-cylinder aero-engine for Dusenburg Automobile Company in the United States, with a power of 4 10 horsepower. After the First World War, starting from 1920, T22 and T23 racing cars equipped with four cylinders 16 valves (the founder of four-valve mechanism) were successively developed, and they won the championship in the 24-hour Le Mans and Brescia car races in France.

1922, Bugatti developed T30 racing car with in-line eight-cylinder engine. 1925 model T35 (after T30 racing car) is active in the ring track of European racing car with its high performance and excellent body shape, especially T35B is equipped with Lutz supercharger, and its top speed can reach 2 10km/h, so it sells well all over the world, and there are still a lot of it up to now. Starting from 1927 T38, the production of roadsters and two-seaters began. T4 1933 model T4 1 luxury coach known as Vaillard. The engine is in-line with eight cylinders, the displacement is as high as 14700ml, the rotation speed is 180km/h, and the weight of the big body is 3000kg. Only six cars were produced, and they are still preserved.

1937, Jean Bugatti, the son of ettori Bugatti (1909- 1939) participated in the design work, featuring exquisite windows and novel and unique body, which became the pride of the car world. Unfortunately, however, Jean Bugatti died in a traffic accident in 1939. In the case of the world economic downturn, ettori Bugatti's factory is difficult to operate. At the beginning of World War II, the Germans occupied the ettori Bugatti factory in France. However, Bugatti himself did not succumb to the threat of the invaders and insisted on Italian nationality, so he was persecuted. Kloc-0/947, a famous automobile designer in the automobile industry for nearly half a century, died, and Bugatti Company also stopped production. However, he has always been admired by later generations. Most Bugatti cars have become treasures of the Miluz Museum in France, and Bugatti cars can still be seen driving on the roads in Germany.

Bugatti, a French sports car brand with a history of 100 years, has experienced ups and downs in the past century. Since 1947, when its founder Ettore BUGATTI died, Bugatti, an old French brand, revived in the early 1990s with the efforts of Italian fanatic and industrialist Romano Artioli, and launched a super-running production car similar to EB 1 10. Unfortunately, Bugatti, who finally came back to life, declared bankruptcy in 1995 because of the company's financial difficulties, leaving only12 concept cars in mass production, which is embarrassing.

1998, the German automobile giant VAG bought Bugatti's trademark right, and officially brought Bugatti under the jurisdiction of the VAG Group, which belongs to Volkswagen itself (another super-running brand owned by VAG is under the jurisdiction of Audi). After VAG took over, Bugatti almost never missed major international auto shows, and successively launched several concept cars, but all of them were mass-produced. Therefore, the EB 16-4 Veyron prototype released at the Geneva Motor Show before mass production can be said to be the first mass production car with Bugatti oval red factory emblem since EB 1 10, and it is also the official pioneering work of Bugatti after his second resurrection!

A different kind of artistic family.

The brand Bugatti originated from the creator's surname, and this engineer who is full of passion and inspiration for automobile art is Ettore Bugatti. Ettore 188 1 was born in a family full of artistic traditions in Italy on September 5, 2005. His grandfather was an architect and his father was a famous Moore painter, sculptor and "carpenter". The furniture he designed and made is still on display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Ettore's younger brother Rembrandt is a talented animal sculptor, and Bugatti's classic elephant front decoration with long nose and front legs is his masterpiece. But in 19 16, this introverted young man took his own life, which is said to be because the animals he studied and loved in Antwerp Zoo died because of the outbreak of World War I.

/kloc-at the age of 0/7, ettore chose to be an apprentice in a bicycle company in Milan instead of becoming a sculptor or painter according to the family tradition, and his dream of designing motorcycles gradually took shape at that time. In the first year of this factory, he made the first motor tricycle in his life. With this car equipped with two single-cylinder De Dion engines, Ettore began to participate in major domestic competitions. It is said that he lost only once in the first ten games. Since then, ettore has been fascinated by speed. In the next seven years, he began to cooperate with De Dietrich. Because ettore was only 20 years old and still a minor, the contract had to be signed by his father.

Dreams come true.

The advent of T5 and DeDietrich Company marks the birth of the first large-scale Bugatti racing car, which fully embodies the concept of Bugatti as a modern racing car. However, due to its unconventional seat design (the seat behind the rear axle), it failed to pass the inspection of 1903 Paris Championship and missed the opportunity to participate.

1906, Ettore decided to design a light car for himself. The car named T 10 was completed in the basement of his home in Cologne. When he finished assembling the car, he had to take it apart in order to take it out of the basement. Bugatti also made a special trip to show this 4-cylinder 1.2-liter car to the famous French pilot Louis Blerior. Inspired by Louis' feat of flying across the English Channel, Bugatti has strengthened his ambition to produce his own brand cars.

1909 is a turning point in Bugatti's life. Just 28 years old, he realized his dream for many years: he started his own company and designed and manufactured a car named after himself! He chose the production base of Alsace Morsheim. At that time, he didn't realize that this would be his home for 30 years. It was also in this year that he witnessed the birth of his son Giannoberto, who was the real sole heir to his lifelong ambition.

The magician of Morsheim

Bugatti is creating one myth after another on the track. 1920, T 13' s miraculous victory in Le Mans won Bugatti the supremacy in the racing track. A year later, in the championship of Brescia, an industrial city in north-central Italy, Bugatti's compact 16 valve racing car won all the prizes from the first place to the fourth place respectively. Because of this extraordinary success, these special sports cars are nicknamed "Brescia". 1922 In April, the first 8-cylinder racing car T29/30 (also known as "cigar" because of its slender body design) won the second place in the A.C.F championship held in Butras, France. Ettore Bugatti's masterpiece T35S was almost invincible at that time. From the mid-1920s to the early 1930s, it was the champion of most grand prix. According to statistics, T35S*** won more than 2000 games, which is a perfect record still held by Bugatti.

The Italian, nicknamed "Magic Morsheim" by fans, skillfully turned his great success in racing into commercial profits. He not only sells luxury station wagons to customers, but also sells racing cars without any modification. None of the participating manufacturers dared to do so. Racing cars are not only easier to produce than high-cost station wagons, but Bugatti can also provide higher prices for racing cars that win prizes in competitions. Even better, private racers have accumulated more winning records for Bugatti in various races. If Morsheim didn't send a car to participate in a certain race, there must be a private racer in the color of Bugatti. These brilliant achievements have become the best advertisements, proving the quality and speed of Bugatti to the world.

The birth of the royal family

The birth of Royale originated from a conversation at a dinner party. An English lady proudly declared that although no one doubted that Ettore Bugatti could build a very beautiful and fast car, Rolls-Royce was undoubtedly a luxury car in the past, present and future. Angered by such provocation, Ettore decided to personally build a top luxury car for the European royal family. 1926, the prototype T4 1 of Royale was finally completed. The car is 6.5 meters long and is equipped with a huge but beautifully designed 24-inch aluminum wheel hub casting. The "Big Guy" equipped with 14.7-liter straight-eight engine has a top speed of 200 km/h, and Royale has * * *1different body designs, among which Coupe Napoleon is the most famous, which was designed by Jean Bugatti for Mr. ArmandEsder. The cost was as high as 700,000 francs (500,000 francs for the chassis and 200,000 francs for the body), which was three times that of the most expensive Lawsley at that time. However, Bugatti felt that he had gained something. He likes to demonstrate the smoothness of the engine running like this: when the engine is running, put a glass of cognac on the cylinder bolt, and Royal will not spill a drop of wine at any time.

Bugatti is full of hope that his luxury car can achieve good sales at the highest level of society, but its surprisingly expensive price is not commensurate with the Great Depression in Europe in the early 1930s. It was originally planned to produce 25 vehicles in the first batch, but in the end only 6 vehicles were produced, of which only 3 were sold. Although Spanish Defense Minister Alfonso has expressed his willingness to buy, in the end, no royal family bought it. These six cars still exist in the world today.

The low sales of Royale put Bugatti in a dilemma, because he has produced a considerable number of engines for T4 1. In order not to waste these engines, in 1932, he designed an elegant aerodynamic car driven by Royale engine. French Railways immediately ordered 80 carriages. Since each starter car is equipped with two or four engines according to the design requirements, Bugatti has to produce more Royale engines to meet the needs of customers. Ironically, during the Great Depression of 1930s, it was these pneumatic vehicles that kept the Bugatti automobile factory alive. Until 1958, these pneumatic cars with extraordinary quality were still in service on the railway trunk line.

The rise and fall of genius

Since 1930s, Bugatti's days of our lives in the championship is gone forever, and its perfect design technology has made it famous. T50, T55 and T57 are all classic designs that will remain in the hearts of fans forever. Their designers are Jean, the genius son of Bugatti. The model that can best show Jean's talent in automobile design should be T57S/SC. He improved the chassis of T57S to make it lower and shorter, and adopted turbocharging technology in the design of 57SC engine. During the two years from 1936 to 1938, 47 chassis of 57S and 57SC were sold. He conquered the whole automobile industry, far exceeding the forward-looking design style of his time.

In August 1939, 1 1, the merciless fate dealt a fatal blow to the Bugatti family. Jean, 30, is in his prime, and the whole of Europe is looking forward to his more wonderful design. However, when testing T57C, which just won the championship in Le Mans, Jean had to make a sharp turn at high speed to avoid a cyclist who suddenly appeared. Unfortunately, he hit a tree at a speed of 200km/h, and the accident took his young life on the spot, which also put a bitter and bloody end to Bugatti's automobile history. Two weeks later, World War II broke out, the era of luxury cars came to an end, and Bugatti no longer produced. 1 July 2, 9471,1,Eitor bugatti also died in the northeastern French city of Nessu.

From 19 10 to 1939, the Morsheim factory * * * produced 7850 Bugatti cars. The unparalleled craftsmanship and fantastic body design contained in each car show the attraction of aesthetic charm and silently state the legend of Bugatti: they are always among the most precious cars!
