China’s trademark categories are classified as follows:

1. Commodity trademarks

Trademarks are the most commonly used trademarks and refer to the trademarks used by producers and operators in production, manufacturing, processing, A mark used when selecting or selling goods. 2. Service marks

3. Collective trademarks

In the name of groups, associations and other organizations, they are used by members of the organization in commercial activities to indicate that they are members of the organization. If a geographical indication is registered as a collective trademark, producers and operators whose goods meet the conditions for use of the geographical indication may request to join the registrant organization that registers the geographical indication as a collective trademark, and the organization shall be admitted as a member in accordance with the articles of association; no need Those who join a registered organization can also use the geographical indication appropriately, and the organization has no right to prohibit it.

4. Certification trademarks

Controlled by an organization capable of inspecting and supervising certain goods or services, and used by others to certify the goods or services. Trademarks of origin, raw materials, manufacturing methods, quality, accuracy or other specific qualities.

The term "collective trademark" as mentioned in this Law refers to a mark registered in the name of a group, association or other organization for use by members of the organization in commercial activities to indicate the user's membership in the organization.

The term "certification trademark" as used in this Law means that it is controlled by an organization with the ability to supervise certain goods or services and is used by units or individuals other than the organization to certify the goods or services. The origin, raw materials, manufacturing methods, quality or other signs of specific quality of the goods or services.

Special matters concerning the registration and management of collective trademarks and certification marks shall be stipulated by the industrial and commercial administration department of the State Council.
