Zhejiang Vocational College of Special Education is the only special education institution in Zhejiang Province that mainly provides secondary and higher vocational education for the disabled. 20/KLOC-0 was formally established in April with the approval of the provincial government. It is a public general higher vocational school at the junior college level, with a school scale of 1500 students, organized by Zhejiang Disabled Persons' Federation. The college has two campuses, Xiaoheshan and Tiancheng Road, with a total area of 1.77 mu and a planned total construction area of 86,975 square meters.
Zhejiang Vocational College of Special Education was established on the basis of Zhejiang Huaqiang Secondary Vocational School, which was founded in 1993. At the beginning of its operation, it mainly provided vocational training for the disabled.
The college has 855 students and 36 classes. There are 88 full-time teachers, including 23 teachers with sub-high titles or above, accounting for 26% of the total number of full-time teachers; Total value of teaching instruments and equipment13.88 million yuan; Eight higher vocational majors have been set up, including arts and crafts design, digital media art design, rehabilitation therapy technology (massage direction), Chinese and western pastry cooking, e-commerce, special education (children's rehabilitation direction), special education (sign language translation direction) and rehabilitation therapy technology for the elderly.
