After Japan invaded Harbin in 1932, Harbin’s beer industry was monopolized by the Japanese. First, the Japanese Damanchu Beer Co., Ltd. was established in Harbin by the Japanese Ikeji Changyasu in 1934. Then in 1936, the Dainippon Ale Company in Tokyo established Harbin Beer Co., Ltd. in Harbin, with the Japanese Mao Takahashi as chairman. . As soon as the company was established, it annexed Damanzhou Beer Co., Ltd. and invested 700,000 to build a brewery in Xiangfang. The following year, the factory was officially put into operation, with an annual output of 100,000 boxes of beer. It was named Harbin Beer Co., Ltd. Xiangfang Factory. This new factory is the current site of Harbin Brewery. The product at that time was 11.5% Harbin Beer (Japanese trademark) bottled beer. It also produces draft beer packed in wooden barrels for the market. After the product was launched, it had a great impact on the market. For example, the Harbin brand (Russian trademark) and German dark beer at that time were greatly affected, forcing some other breweries to stop production and close down, and some were merged into Xiangfang Brewery.
After Japan surrendered in 1945, the workers of Xiangfang Brewery spontaneously organized a factory protection team to prevent Japanese and puppet sabotage. The Soviet army also sent a team of cavalry to the factory. The factory was completely preserved and handed over to the factory. Operated by Qiulin Co., Ltd., the factory was renamed Qiulin Co., Ltd. Harbin Beer Factory. A large number of Soviet managers, sommeliers and workers entered the factory. The product was also renamed Red Star Brand, and the draft beer barrels were printed with the red star mark.
After liberation, the Harbin Municipal Government decided to state-owned the Harbin Brewery and renamed it the Harbin Industrial Corporation Beer Factory, and later the Harbin Brewery. In 1956, the only Qianjin Brewery (formerly known as Ulublevsky Brewery) merged with Harbin Brewery, and the factory name was still Harbin Brewery. From then to the early 1980s, it was a historical period when Harbin Brewery exclusively produced and supplied beer to the Harbin beer market. The 11-degree Harbin brand beer produced continues to this day, and people are accustomed to calling it Harbin white brand.
The Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the Communist Party of China in 1978 opened up a vast world for the development of the factory. After several reconstructions and expansions, by 1990, the annual production capacity of the factory reached 100,000 tons, making it one of the largest beer companies in the country. In 1994, the factory completed beer production of 130,000 tons, and in 1995, it completed beer production of 150,000 tons, which still could not meet market demand.
The factory has 1,454 employees and 8 production workshops for malting, beer brewing, and packaging. It also has Taijiali Fresh Beer Co., Ltd. (which produces draft beer) and Harbin Beer Processing jointly established with foreign investors. Co., Ltd. (produces 355ml Harbin brand beer), and also has a beverage branch factory with an annual production capacity of 5,000 tons of beverages.
The factory has internationally advanced beer production and testing equipment imported from abroad, including the HNK automatic beer packaging line, fully automatic computer-controlled small malting and wine making equipment, and SCABA fully automatic analysis and testing instruments. Complete all testing procedures within 5 minutes.
