In 1906, founder Guccio Gucci began making leather goods under his own name in Florence, Italy. In the mid-1960s, Gucci shifted its focus to overseas markets. At the same time, the famous double G trademark was also born, and its scale was expanding day by day.

In the 1950s, the red, green and red stripes derived from horse girdle were used by Gucci as accessories, and became another iconic design of the brand.
