What is the application process for British trademarks?
Trademark objection: if it is not returned or the applicant's reply is justified, the trademark will be printed on the trademark announcement. TPO will send a notice to the applicant informing the date of the announcement. After that, 3 months is the objection period.

Certification: If no objection is raised during the trademark announcement period, the Patent Office will issue a trademark registration certificate.

Validity period of trademark: the validity period of registration protection is ten years. The period of validity of trademark registration shall be counted from the date of registration.

Announcement: After examination, the examiner thinks that the trademark application is acceptable, and then an announcement will be published in the official British trademark announcement. 3 months from the date of announcement is the objection period.

Registration approval: a trademark that can be registered after an objection ruling, or a trademark that has been announced without objection, shall be registered and issued with a registration certificate. If the whole application process goes smoothly, it will take about 9- 12 months.
