As a typical representative of strong-flavor liquor, what are the characteristics of Luzhou Laojiao Tequ Liquor?

The world-famous Luzhou Laojiao Tequ began during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty and has a history of more than 400 years. According to records, at the end of the Ming Dynasty and the beginning of the Qing Dynasty, Shu, whose surname was Luzhou, served as a military officer in Lueyang, Shaanxi Province. He admired the local Qujiu very much and explored many ways to make wine-making techniques and equipment.

When he returned to his hometown in the 14th year of Shunzhi in the Qing Dynasty (1657 AD), he packed the local Wannian distiller’s sake, koji medicine, clay samples and other materials in bamboo baskets, hired local technicians, and worked together. Back in Luzhou, I chose a place with mud suitable for a wine cellar in the south of the city. The water from the nearby "Longquan Well" was clear and sweet, which complemented the cellar mud, so I opened a winery and tried to make koji wine. This was the first brewery in Luzhou, Shujuyuan, and it was also the predecessor of the current Luzhou Qu Distillery. By the 22nd year of Qianlong's reign in the Qing Dynasty (1757 AD), the koji wine produced had become famous far and wide.

By the sixth year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty (1880 AD), the annual output of Luzhou Daqu liquor had reached about 10 tons, and its reputation spread throughout the country. In 1915, Luzhou Daqu Liquor participated in the Panama International Exposition and won the first-class gold medal and certificate of international famous wine, thus gaining international reputation. From 1916 to 1926, he successively won the first-class medal of the Nanyang Quanye Association and the Quanye Association, and the first-class certificate of the Shanghai Exhibition. But in the long old China, the production of Luzhou Daqu liquor did not achieve greater development.

After the founding of the People's Republic of China, the scattered small breweries were organized into today's Luzhou Qu Distillery, with output and quality booming. In 1952, it was rated as one of the four famous wines in the country at the first national wine appraisal meeting. Laojiao Tequ Liquor was rated as one of the eight famous wines in the country in 1953. It won the title of national famous wine at the five national wine evaluation conferences and won the gold medal.

Luzhou Laojiao Tequ Liquor is not only loved by the domestic masses, but also sells well in European and Asian countries and is generally welcomed. It is especially appreciated by the people of Southeast Asian countries and overseas Chinese, and has become a quality product in the international market. Stable famous wines have won honor for the motherland.

Luzhou Laojiao Tequ is one of the most famous wines in my country. It is known for its unique style of "mellow and rich aroma, clear and sweet, long aftertaste, especially fragrant after drinking". It is well-known in ancient and modern times and sells well both at home and abroad. This wine is colorless and transparent, with a rich cellar aroma, refreshing and sweet taste. It is especially fragrant after drinking and has a long aftertaste. It has the four characteristics of strong aroma, mellowness, sweet taste and long aftertaste. The alcohol content is 38 degrees, 42 degrees, 52 degrees and 60 degrees. Hua Luogeng wrote a poem: "Why can only Du Kang relieve worries? Now that there is no worry, Tequ is a taste; produced in Luzhou, sweet and fragrant."

Luzhou Laojiao Tequ wine has a unique style. The key is that the fermentation cellar has a long age and is a real old cellar. The characteristic of the old cellar is that there are special structural requirements when building the cellar. After long-term use, the mud pool appears red and green, the mud becomes soft, and produces a strange aroma. At this time, the fermented grains come into contact with the cellar mud and distill out The wine will have a rich aroma, and such a cellar can be called an old cellar. As the age of the cellar increases, the quality of the wine produced also continues to improve. Wine brewed in century-old cellars is considered to be the ideal wine. According to historical records, the oldest cellar of Luzhou Qu Distillery has been over 300 years old, and its style remains as fascinating as ever. Visitors are lucky enough to see it.
