Yangquan Vocational and Technical College is a college-level higher vocational and technical college approved by Shanxi Provincial People's Government in April 2002. It turned out to be a management model of "two brands in one institution" with Yangquan College of Taiyuan University of Technology. Later, Yangquan College of Taiyuan University of Technology was approved by the Ministry of Education to become an ordinary undergraduate college and renamed Shanxi Institute of Engineering and Technology.

2065438+September 2004, Shanxi Provincial Development and Reform Commission approved the new campus construction project of Yangquan Vocational and Technical College and started construction. 2065438+July 2005, Shanxi people put Yangquan Vocational and Technical College under the management of Yangquan Municipal People's Government without the approval of CoCo Lee Municipal Government.
