Appreciation of ancient and modern wonderful couplets
It is said in Yin Zhu's Couplets Newspeak in Qing Dynasty that someone cooperated with his friends in the 5th birthday in Qing Dynasty and wrote a couplet:
Being the same age as me, living for three days;
get a confidant of your monarch, and * * * will be a person for a hundred years.
born in the same year. Humble words. Three days long, that is, three days older than his friend. The last sentence can be understood as two people celebrating their centenary together, and it can also be understood as both of them want to live to be centenary.
Wei Yin's Notes on Wei Yuan Couplets says that when Wei Yuan was young in the Qing Dynasty, he saw that every local person liked to copy people's poems to show off, hated them, and sometimes exposed them. One day, a juren pointed to a portable candle lamp and asked Wei Yuan to be right. Lian yue:
oil-soaked candle, one heart in the candle, and fire in the heart;
Wei Yuan said to him,
Paper lanterns have many eyes on the cage, but no beads in their eyes.
"There is fire in the heart" and "There is no pearl in the eye" are both puns. "Candle, candle", "heart, heart" and "cage, cage" and "eye, eye" are connected.
On the wedding night of Qin Guan and Su Xiaomei, Su Xiaomei somehow decided to ignore Qin Guan and used the following couplet to express his intention:
The moon is bright and the stars are sparse, and it will definitely not rain tonight;
Qin understood, and made a couplet:
It's freezing in the cold, and the Ming Dynasty will surely become frost.
puns are mainly used in conjunctions. The moon is bright and the stars are sparse, and there is no cloud. No clouds and no rain, that is, no clouds and no rain. It doesn't rain and it doesn't speak. Frost, still words in pairs.
It is said in "Xierenyi" that when Jie Jin was seven years old in Ming Dynasty, she went out with her father and saw a woman playing the flute. The father gave the right sentence, saying,
The fairy plays the flute, and the dead bamboo shoots produce jade bamboo shoots;
Jie Jin responded:
A beautiful woman holds an umbrella, and a lotus leaf reveals golden lotus.
withered bamboo makes a flute. Jade bamboo shoots, the hand of a singer. It is a metaphor. The golden lotus is the name of the foot. The two couplets are very vivid.
Jing Changchun's Notes on the Couplets of Modern and Contemporary Historical Events contains the couplet of Wen Shengcai, a martyr holding Huang Huagang, who said:
A white-edged head is expensive when you are born, and
Yellow bones are fragrant when you are buried dead.
the first part is very chivalrous. The "yellow flower" in the second couplet refers to both Huanghuagang and Chrysanthemum, with pun, and it means that the spirit of martyrs is immortal.
It is said that during the reign of Emperor Kangxi of Qing Dynasty, the Spring Festival was approaching, and Kangxi ordered Li Guangdi, a great scholar, to write a hundred couplets of Spring Festival couplets to replace the old ones in the palace. Guangdi was worried about this matter when his brother Guangpo happened to come to Beijing and expressed his willingness to do it for him. On New Year's Eve, Guangpo presented the following couplet to the Emperor:
There are seventy-two sages in the underground, and the sages change colors;
there are 28 stars in the sky, and all the nights are spring.
when Kangxi saw it, he greatly appreciated it.
seventy-two plus twenty-eight, exactly one hundred, is a pair for a hundred, which can be said to be skillful in using numbers. "xian, xian" and "su, su" are connected. "Sage" and "lodging" are reduplicated words. Seventy-two sages refer to Confucius' particularly outstanding disciples. Easy color, there are many solutions, according to Yan Shigu's view, looks are not important.
According to the "Grand View of China's Ancient and Modern Clever Couplets", Hunan Peng Geng once published a couplet to sign for it in Tianjin Intelligence magazine. Lian yue:
faith is what people say. If you want to win the trust of people, you must keep your word.
Henan Yu Wanjie said:
Smoking is the cause of fire. Smoking is a common cause of fire, so you should give up smoking.
conjunctions are word pairs. "People" and "words" become "faith", "fire" and "cause" become "smoke", which can be seen from both sides.
It is said that in the early years of the Republic of China, a bottle of French Samsung Brandy was hung on the door of a restaurant in Chongqing, asking for couplets. Many people responded, but the boss was always dissatisfied. At that time, Guo Moruo was still very young. When he heard the news, he rushed to Sichuan and thought that there was a famous dish that could be associated with wine, so he mentioned:
Samsung brandy,
Huangmeitian in May.
It is generally known that "Huangmeitian" refers to the climate, but it is not the name of the dish. It is mistaken for this couplet as "unfeeling", but in fact, one wine and one dish have a very coherent meaning. The brand name and wine name are embedded in the upper part, and the time name and dish name are embedded in the lower part.
"Xierenyi" says that Tang Bohu meets Zhang Ling and often drinks together. One day, Tang said,
Jia Dao was drunk, but he didn't fake it.
Zhang said to him,
Liu Ling drank all the wine.
Jia Dao, a poet in the Tang Dynasty. Liu Ling, one of the "Seven Sages of Bamboo Forest" in the Western Jin Dynasty, was addicted to alcohol and once wrote Ode to Wine Virtue. There are two methods used in this connection. "Jia Dao" and "Falsefall", "Liu Ling" and "Leave Zero" are homonyms, which are "mixed differences"; "Falsefall" and "Leave Zero" are verb-object phrases, which can also be regarded as homophonic spelling of "Jia Dao" and "Liu Ling".
It is recorded in Couplet Talk that in the early years of the Republic of China, Changsha Daily was written by Long Gong Erjun, and a harmonious couplet was published in Ta Kung Pao at that time:
Long Gong, Long Gong * * *;
King Ma Bin, King Luo Bin and King Ma Luo Bin.
Long Gonger wrote it, but none of them are detailed. King Ma Bin, namely Ma Zhou, was born in the early Tang Dynasty, and served as the supervisor of the Imperial Imperial censor during Taizong's reign. Luo Binwang, also a native of the early Tang Dynasty, was one of the "four outstanding figures in the early Tang Dynasty". His poems were full of words of grief and indignation, and he once wrote "To discuss the martial arts". The main methods of couplet are word analysis, tautology and embedding names.
"Funny Tales of Ancient and Modern Clever Couples" says that on the wedding night of Tang Xianzu in the Ming Dynasty, the bride went out to say:
The red candle is a dragon, and the dragon in the water goes from the fire;
show your ancestors for a long time without being right. Later, when I saw the embroidered shoes worn by the bride, I got a saying:
The embroidered shoes embroidered the phoenix, and the phoenix from the horizon came to the ground.
Because the dragon on the candle is made of candle and burned at the same time when it burns, it is said that "it goes from the fire". Because the phoenix is embroidered on the shoes worn on the feet, it is said that "come to the ground". On the unity of contradictions and interests.
