Trademark registration is the premise and foundation of the whole trademark management work, and it is the first condition for legally established enterprises, institutions, social organizations, individual industrial and commercial households and foreigners or foreign enterprises that meet the provisions of Article 9 of the Trademark Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) (hereinafter referred to as the Trademark Law) to own and protect their trademarks according to law. According to the provisions of the Trademark Law and its implementing rules, trademark registration procedures are divided into compulsory procedures and special procedures. The necessary procedures are the registration procedures that applicants must go through when applying for trademark registration, including trademark application, trademark examination, trademark examination (announcement) and trademark registration (announcement). Special procedures are remedial procedures arising from conflicts or other reasons in the process of trademark registration, and are not necessary procedures, including three procedures: trademark rejection review, trademark objection review and trademark dispute.
