Chai Lei renamed the hand cakes "Kungfu cakes" to make them more in line with Europeans and Americans' love for traditional Chinese culture. In July 2009, the first Liangquanqimei "Kung Fu Cake" flagship store opened in Chinatown, Manhattan, New York. Nearly a hundred overseas Chinese representatives and guests came to congratulate the store.
