2. Wang Mao

The predecessor of Wang Mao was "Ronghe Shaofang". In the fifth year of Guangxu (1879), the big landowners Wang Rong and Sun Quantaihe of Renhuai County, Guizhou The owners of "Tianhe" Salt Company jointly opened "Rongtaihe" Shaofang to produce liquor. The predecessor of Laimao was "Hengxing Distillery". In 1929, Guiyang businessman Zhou Bingheng opened "Hengchang Shaofang" in Maotai Town. Later, due to production stagnation, in 1938, they partnered with businessman Lai Yongchu to expand production. Later, it became privately owned by the Lai family.
