The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine began to hold the selection of "China Famous Brand Products" every year, and launched the selection of "China World Famous Brand Products" in 2005. However, in 2008, with the adjustment of the functions of AQSIQ, it no longer directly handled the famous brand selection activities related to enterprises and products.
