Chinese tourists can use UnionPay cards to withdraw Japanese yen from bank ATMs located across Japan. China UnionPay cards have been launched in Japan and can be used for card payments in nearly 10,000 stores. For purchases made in Japanese yen, RMB will be deducted from the card according to the exchange rate of the day.
In Japan, more than tens of thousands of stores with the "UnionPay" logo can use UnionPay cards to make purchases. When withdrawing cash overseas with a UnionPay RMB card in China, except that each card does not exceed the equivalent of RMB 10,000 per day, Add annual limits.
Effective from January 1, 2016, the cumulative overseas cash withdrawals of each UnionPay RMB card in China shall not exceed the equivalent of RMB 100,000 per year. From October 1 to December 31, 2015, the accumulated value of each card shall not exceed the equivalent value of RMB 50,000.
